OUR MANDATE
The Department of Education was established through the Education Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a Chairman. The Education agency underwent many reorganization efforts in the 20th century in order to better define its purpose vis a vis the changing administrations and charters. The present day Department of Education was eventually mandated through Republic Act 9155, otherwise known as the Governance of Basic Education act of 2001 which establishes the mandate of this agency. The Department of Education (DepEd) formulates, implements, and coordinates policies, plans, programs and projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education. It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.

"BULLYING AT SCHOOL? KNOW THE 3 STEPS ON WHO SHOULD BE APPROACHED ACCORDING TO THE NEW DEPED RULES! "
The New System Against Bullying:
Who Should We Approach?
The Department of Education released DepEd Memorandum No. 90, s. 2025 for the new Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) against bullying.
This clarifies who to turn to in case of such an incident at school.
For the action to be quick and smooth, it is divided into three (3) levels depending on the gravity of the situation:
Level 1:
The Classroom Teacher First
If the situation is a little minor or the problem is just starting, the Classroom Teacher will be the first to take care of the case and try to fix the case.
They are the first to run inside the classroom.
Level 2:
Entry of Learner Formation Officer
When the first step isn't enough or quicker, formal action is needed, escalate to the Learner Formation Officer.
They will intervene to make sure the complaint is taken immediate action.
Level 3:
Straight to the Principal for Serious Cases
This is the most serious level. If the situation is already bad and there is a serious threat or risk to the safety and safety of the student itself, no longer go through the long process—the case goes straight to the School Principal for immediate protection and tough decisions.

📢 GENERAL SCHOOL PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION (GPTA) ASSEMBLY 2026 📢

Doña Rosario National High School successfully conducted its General School Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA) Assembly, bringing together parents, teachers, school personnel, and stakeholders in a collaborative effort to strengthen partnerships for quality education and student success.

The assembly featured an informative session led by our School Principal, Mrs. Ivy H. Beldad, who spearheaded the information drive on the Department of Education's Educational Reforms, providing parents and stakeholders with updates on key programs, policies, and initiatives aimed at improving the learning experiences of our learners.

Parents were also formally introduced to the dedicated faculty and staff of Doña Rosario National High School, fostering stronger connections between the school and the community.

Adding value to the event, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted an information drive highlighting the importance of safety, discipline, and community involvement in promoting a secure learning environment for all students.

Likewise, Agusan del Norte Division Youth/Health Focal Person, Ma’am Rosanna Duran, shared essential information and insights on youth development, health promotion, and learner well-being, emphasizing the role of parents and the school in nurturing responsible and healthy individuals.

A significant highlight of the assembly was the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Officers for School Year 2026–2027, marking the beginning of their commitment to serve and work hand in hand with the school in achieving its goals and aspirations.

📢 ATTENTION: DOÑA ROSARIO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY 📢

As we transition into the Three-Term School Calendar under DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026, our school is officially entering the INSTRUCTIONAL BLOCK.

💡 What is the Instructional Block?
This is the core phase of each school term, specifically structured for serious academic teaching and continuous learning.

Here is what our learners, parents, and teachers need to know:

⏳ Timeline & Duration: This is the largest segment of each term, lasting exactly 54 to 61 days per term across all three terms of the school year.

🔒 Policy on "Uninterrupted" Time: This period is strictly reserved for academics. Extra-curricular events, major sports meets, and non-academic activities are not allowed to prevent rushed teaching and ensure students fully absorb the lessons.

🎯 Key Focus Areas:

Curriculum Delivery: Focused on prescribed learning competencies and core standards.

Continuous Assessment: Regular quizzes, tasks, and tests to track student progress.

Academic Support: Progress data will guide the ARAL Program for learners needing extra support.

After this block, the school will smoothly transition into the End-of-Term Block (or Enrichment Block) for grading, remediation, and school activities.

Let us work together to ensure a productive, uninterrupted, and meaningful learning experience for every single Doñarian! 🦅💚
