A good day to everyone!
To aspiring Grade 7 artists and talented students who are moving forward to high school and is passionate about acting, dancing, drawing, painting, playing instruments, sculpting, singing, writing, taking photography, and engaging in different art events in general—we are glad to present to you the Special Program in the Arts Family of Trece Martires City National High School that has been rasing our flag across the region since its declaration in 2015.
Our home exists for students who wants to develop the artistic skills they possess while maintaining their knowledge in academics at the same time.
We offer specializations in:
I. Creative Writing
For those who love the feeling of being surrounded by books and have something to tell inside their minds that they can only express through the art of pen and paper. A few key examples are writing literature, poetry, manuscripts, short stories, and proses.
II. Dance
“Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” The specialization where your body is the only limit. Examples of covered dance genres are: ballet, social, modern, folk, and contemporary.
III. Music
For those who have potential in singing and playing instruments, and hears its symphony even in nature “Where words leave off, music begins.” This specialization will also let you improve your discipline, attitude, and your determination.
IV. Theater Arts
This is for the ones who like acting, wherein the stage is considered as your home and the soul of a character is inside you. While on the stage, you can also experience all the other kinds of specialization where you can show your talents in dancing, singing, and writing scripts—depending on the type of play that you will act.
V. Visual Arts
For those who are dedicated in exploring different kinds of art works. Visual Arts is not only limited to sketching and painting, but also in learning the history of art around the world. In addition, this specialization will develop one's skill in carpentry, carving, pottery, sculpting and other forms of art that will eventually be learned through the four years of high school.
VI. Media Arts
For those who could showcase art the moment they click their cameras. This specialization will help you give more effects and colors in pictures and improve how you take them from different angles. Aside from taking pictures, you will also experience how to create posters, advertisements, short films and others.
Students in SPA also represents both the school and Trece Martires to compete in MAPEH's Division Festival of Talents that happens every year.
We can't wait to see you be a fellow ALAGAD NG SINING of Trece Martires City National High School! Let us prove the people that artists CAN and WILL prevail. Long live for the colors that an artist possess!
