We at DepEd Tayo Bagong Pook ES - SNED Learning Center are very glad to welcome back SM City Trece Martires and they gave us a gracious response. Not only they will let us use their activity center for free but also giving the learners something to smile about this Yuletide: the annual SM Bears of Joy.

In this edition of SNED Christmas Party, some of our non-graded learners did manage to showcase their talents thru dance according to sections they belong, TikTok-based dance challenges they volunteered to, or participating with their parents thru Mini Me.

As a bonus, the folks at McDonald's Manggahan brought our Learners with Disabilities not just the lunch but also appearances of the three of their mascots Birdie, Hamburglar and Grimace.
Since the event takes place at SM, they of course gave us the opportunity to bring in their two Santa Clauses and giving away the SM Bears of Joy.

We at BPES SNED are also thankful in bringing us some gifts from Mister Donut for the learners; and from Bench and Max's Restaurant for the teachers. We definitely love you everyone.

We also had a raffle courtesy of our honorable officials like Governor Francisco Gabriel Remulla, Representative Crispin Diego Remulla, Provincial Board Members Aldrin Anacan and Camille del Rosario, Mayor Gemma Buendia Lubigan, Vice Mayor Bobby Montehermoso and Councilors Tracy Anne Sierra Anacan, Joyce Ann Mojica, Kim Paolo Lubigan, AJ Humarang, Jay-Em Cunanan, Antonio Lontoc, Elmo Trinidad, Lito Vidallon, Poyi Buendia, at Sting Montehermoso

To everyone, we thank them all so much. The learners with disabilities are happy with their gifts received.

FREE DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR INCLUSIVE AND SPECIAL NEEDS LEARNERS

Program SAGIP (Sagipin, Agapayan, Gabayan at Ibalik sa Paaralan) is a school initiative anchored on the Curriculum Implementation Division’s (CID) Program KALINGA (Kalingain Batang Espesyal) the division's flagship initiative promoting inclusive, equitable, and responsive education. SAGIP aims to inform learners who are losing their grip a second opportunity in life building foundational academic skills while aligning with general education standards as much as possible; to develop learners their skills, talents and knowledge in their own way, with emphasis on skills needed for success beyond the classroom, such as self-care, organization, and vocational readiness; to guide and inform learners in making their critical decisions in life after school and effective interaction with peers and adults; and to make second chance learners and learners with determination recognized by and as part of the class, the school and the community in self-contained and in inclusion by developing self-control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility.
In line with the DepEd Cavite CID’s program, 31 learners from Bagong Pook Elementary School-Inclusive Learning Resource Center received a free developmental assessment—paid for by the Provincial Government of Cavite, aimed at supporting early identification and appropriate intervention for learners with special needs and providing families with essential information to better support their needs.

The educational assessment was spearheaded by the Dr. Nelson Ravina Educational Consultancy Services from the LCQP (Lucena City and Quezon Province) area, headed by Dr. Nelson Ravina himself, whose expertise psychoeducational assessment is meant to assess the intellectual and academic abilities of a child who is struggling behaviorally or academically. It aims to measure strengths and weaknesses, specifically in: Cognitive processing abilities; Current level of academic knowledge in various subject areas; and Social, behavioral and emotional functioning.

This meaningful activity was made possible through the support and funding of the Provincial Government of Cavite, made possible through the unwavering support of provincial Governor Francisco Gabriel “Abeng” Remulla. The Schools Division Office of Cavite Province, led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres, alongside Education Program Supervisor for Special Needs Education and Good Values and Right Conduct/Values Education, Dr. Josephine Monzaga, also played key roles in coordinating and facilitating the successful implementation of the activity.

The success of this psychoeducational assessment was further strengthened by the leadership and unwavering support of the school principal Amanda C. Erni, who played a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of the school Program, and Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Carolina M. Magallanes, whose dedication, facilitation, and hands-on support played a vital role in the successful implementation of the assessment. Their commitment to enhancing SNED services in the district continues to inspire teachers, parents, and partners.

Through this initiative, Bagong Pook Elementary School-Inclusive Learning Resource Center reaffirms its mission to build a quality, responsive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment—one that recognizes that understanding every learner is the first step toward helping them reach their fullest potential

Recently, DepEd Tayo Bagong Pook ES - Special Needs Education welcomed Mr. Schoeff and he teaches the select learners how to make their own dishwashing liquid. We want to and will continue the Project BIO-CLEANERS as a permanent, year-round project to generate funds for Special Needs Education programs. The process of making dishwashing liquid also caught the attention of our Principal Ma'am Amanda C. Erni.
