A moment of hope and love filled the grounds of Bato Elementary School last December 10, 2025, as ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ด ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด: ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ด๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐จ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ was conducted through the guidance of the Basic Education Research and Extension Office of Davao Central College. With the unified efforts of the Elementary Supreme Pupil Government, JHS DCC Supreme Student Council, DCC Senior High School Supreme Student Government, and the dedicated faculty and staff, the celebration brought joy and warmth to the learners. The event proudly showcased the vibrant spirit of unity and generosity that the yuletide season inspires.
Anchored in the goal of sharing the warmth of Christmas, the initiative sought to transform heartfelt intentions into tangible acts of kindness, allowing the basic education students, faculty, and staff to extend joy to the beneficiaries. The celebration began with a welcoming message from OIC Ma'am Eliza May Florin, who expressed deep appreciation for the institution's continued commitment to supporting young learners and uplifting their well-being. She highlighted how programs like this strengthen the bond between schools and communities, creating meaningful experiences for the children they serve.
The program featured a series of engaging activities, including a fun and lively energizer to set the mood, interactive games that encouraged camaraderie and confidence, and an engaging community dance. A message of hope was delivered by DCC Elementary Supreme Pupil Government President Daniel Pederez, reminding everyone that the true essence of Christmas lies in choosing kindness, offering love, and believing that even small acts of goodness can brighten someoneโs world.
Gift-giving became the most meaningful part of the event, made possible by the generosity of DCCโs basic education students together with the faculty and staff through the Share-A-Joy Initiative. This collective effort ensured that each child received something special, a gesture that carried with it the message that they are valued and remembered. With the school administrationโs support, the activity was able to run smoothly and create genuine moments of connection with the children.
In the closing message, BED Research and Extension Coordinator Mr. Rolly Jay Lingasa encouraged everyone to carry this experience with them, reminding the community that the true spirit of giving is found in sharing from the heart for the good of others. He expressed hope that moments like this inspire more kindness, more compassion, and more unity within and beyond the school community.
As the event came to an end, smiles, laughter, and grateful hearts filled the atmosphere.
