STUDENT-LED SCHOOL WATCHING AND HAZARD MAPPING 🦺🌱🏫

Safety begins with awareness, and our learners are taking an active role in keeping our school and community safe!

As part of our Student-Led School Watching and Hazard Mapping, our learners worked together to identify, observe, and document possible hazards in and around the school and community. Through this activity, they learned the importance of being alert, prepared, responsible, and proactive in promoting a safer environment for everyone.

📍 Through observation and mapping, our young safety advocates identified areas that may pose risks, such as exposed electrical lines, unstable surroundings, fallen branches, and other environmental hazards.

This activity empowers our learners to become partners in disaster risk reduction and school safety—because every child can make a difference when equipped with knowledge and awareness. 💪👧👦

We are especially proud to recognize Mrs. Desiree Lyons, a distinguished alumna of Tondol Elementary School, whose love for her alma mater continues to inspire and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our learners.

In the true spirit of bayanihan, the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Tondol Elementary School, together with our SPTA Officers, supportive parents and dedicated volunteers, joined hands in today’s Alay Trabaho. Through collective effort, we cleaned and beautified our school grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our learners.

Last Friday, Tondol Elementary School successfully conducted its Mass Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG), Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), Homeroom Officers, and Classroom Officers for School Year 2026–2027.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed inducting officers, Barangay Captain Antonio C. Cahigas and Hon. Jay N. Garibay, Barangay Kagawad in Charge of Education, for gracing the occasion and inspiring our officers through their words of encouragement and support.

Pinapaalalahanan ng DepEd ang lahat ng mag-aaral, magulang, at school personnel na may umiiral nang polisiya na nagbabawal sa paggamit ng gadgets ng mga mag-aaral at school personnel habang may klase o sa panahon ng instructional hours.

Pinapayagan lamang ang paggamit ng mga ito kung para sa layuning pang-edukasyon o sa oras ng emergency, alinsunod sa DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 o ang Guidelines on Ensuring Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE).

Hinihikayat ang mga paaralan na palakasin ang information at advocacy campaigns upang matiyak ang tamang pagsunod sa polisiya at maisulong ang ligtas at responsableng paggamit ng internet at gadgets.

Sa ilalim ng DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 o Guidelines on Ensuring Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE), mas pinagtitibay ng DepEd ang mga hakbang para isulong ang kaligtasan, disiplina, responsableng asal, mental health, at proteksyon sa karapatan ng mga mag-aaral at personnel.

💡 Alamin ang nilalaman ng ESMLE Policy at kung paano ito dapat ipatupad sa mga paaralan.
