DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY ON THE RESCUE!

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) of Manila City Government provided help in hauling some debris at the ground floor of Senior High School Building and the back side of the New Building.

MENTAL HEALTH PREPAREDNESS WEBINAR FOR CALDERON HS STUDENTS

The school, sponsored by the Supreme Student Government of Calderon HS, mounted a Mental Health and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Webinar with the theme: "Mental and Physical Preparedness Key for Survival in the New Normal." The speaker-facilitator for this webinar is Mr. Victor O. Gocoyo, DRRM Coordinator from Carlos P. Garcia High School. The webinar was participated by the students of Calderon HS.

ONLINE SIMULATION / DEMO TEACHING PER DEPARTMENT

Each department also conducted their own simulation / demonstration lessons using the different platforms that teachers can be used for their online classes. Featured here are from Social Studies, Mathematics and Home Economics Departments.

VIRTUAL DIVISION DEMONSTRATION LESSON

In keeping with the objective of training teachers and making them well-equipped with technological and technical expertise in preparation to the online classes, Felipe G. Calderon Integrated School (HS) mounted a virtual demonstration lessons, with Ms. Cristy Lamor (MT, Science Department) and Mr. Richard Nicdao (Teacher, TLE Department).

The virtual demosntration lesson was attended by the new Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Ma. Theresa Chico (Public Schools District Supervisor), Dr. Eddieza Durens (Principal), department heads and teachers from Calderon HS.

ONLINE BRIGADA PAGBASA

This committee, headed by Mrs. Jeremia Nunez of Filipino Department, conducted an online Brigada Pagbasa to some Calderon HS students predetermined by their Filipino and English teachers. Its aim is to determine the reading challenges of the students, and to offer a solution out from this activity. Next is that they will reach these students through their Facebook accounts for an invitation for the online Brigada Pagbasa. The duration of Online Brigada Pagbasa ran from June 24 to July 8. Thank you, student-participants!

TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS ON THE USE OF GSUITE ACCOUNT

The teachers’ technical literacy was handled by the TLE-Vocational Department headed by Mr. W***y C. Llagas. They conducted an online orientation on the use and particulars of GSuites for the teachers last July 6. GSuites is a package which will be used by both teachers and students during online classes, and this will be used this coming school year.

DONORS FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF MANILA METRO

The school, through the Brigada Eskwela 2020 Steering Committee, made linkages with possible donors for the Brigada Eskwela. In this present situation, the school needs health-related donations like face masks, face shields, alcohols, and the like. Mrs. Ebuena P. Alvarez is the overall chairperson of the Brigada Eskwela 2020 Steering Committee, and Mrs. Myrna V. Besa as the co-chairperson

The second group is the Rotary Club of Manila Metro, through the coordination with the Interact Club of Calderon High School. The Rotary Club donated face masks, alcohon and others.

The school would like to thank these donors for helping the school in carrying the objectives of Brigada Eskwela.

DONORS FROM PILIPINAS UNITED GUARDIAN RIDERS

The school, through the Brigada Eskwela 2020 Steering Committee, made linkages with possible donors for the Brigada Eskwela. In this present situation, the school needs health-related donations like face masks, face shields, alcohols, and the like. Mrs. Ebuena P. Alvarez is the overall chairperson of the Brigada Eskwela 2020 Steering Committee, and Mrs. Myrna V. Besa as the co-chairperson

As of this writing, two groups had already went to school and expressed their support to the Brigada Eskwela. The first was the Pilipinas United Guardian Riders, a group of biker enthusiasts from the different parts of Metro Manila. Thanks to the coordination of Mr. Louie Zabala (They donated boxes of alcohol, face masks, face shields and other sanitary equipments.
