Now is an excellent time to spread knowledge about the actual risks posed by fires as well as the precautions that may be taken to avoid them. We may help protect ourselves and our loved ones from fire by taking a few easy precautions. Fire can cause serious property damage and even result in fatalities.

Get ready because the Batang Emergency Response Team has something prepared for you. Join us this month as we explore new information while staying safe. Fasten your seatbelt. Remember, when you hear the alarm, go find the EVACUATION plan.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized mostly by major breast cancer charities to increase funding for prevention, therapy, and cure. We have the chance to distribute knowledge this month mainly to women to be vigilant about their breast health and to encourage them to have regular check-ups.

Women are more likely than males to develop breast cancer, but men can also get it. 0.5–1% of breast cancer diagnoses worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), are detected in men. It's an ideal chance to inform everyone about its symptoms and signs.

As reported by PhilStar, there were 86,484 cancer cases overall in the Philippines, with 27,163 being breast cancer. Breast cancer is the third most lethal type of cancer in Filipinos, having taken the lives of 9,926 Filipino women.

By encouraging early detection and treatment of this deadly disease, breast cancer awareness is an important campaign that has contributed to the saving of many lives.

"And suddenly, life wasn't about living, it was about surviving."

Keeping our mental health stable is really important, at the same time it is hard. Many people are struggling, suffering, and crying in silence everyday. An estimated 1 Million people worldwide die by su***de every year.

THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER.

One day, everything seems normal, not until you found yourself in the middle of the ocean trying to find a way back to the shore, but you cannot. It feels like you'll be stuck in that place forever.

We know it's hard, but you are not alone. Many have found their serenity already, yet you keep on walking with us. You keep on surviving, dreaming, and praying everyday. We hope, you'll continue walking until you escape from the dark.

September is Su***de Prevention Month. This is the time for us to raise awareness and promote prevention of su***de. It is important to know how to help those people who are struggling. Let us work together to support each other and make our world free from su***de.

DON'T BE SCARED TO REACH OUT.
YOU MATTER TO US.

When a fire starts to roar, think before you open the door.

Today, August 18, 2023, the Batang Emergency Response Team (BERT) attended the DRRM Leadership Training during the Brigada Eskwela closing program.

Mr. John Louise E. Buco, guest speaker underscored the Fire Prevention and Safety Drills to enhance the student's preparedness in terms of assessing risks and hazards inside and outside the school. The program included the importance of smoke detectors, classes of fire and fire extinguishers, and much more.

Regular fire drills are a crucial part of both fire prevention and being prepared for them. Applying fire protection methods will help us keep our neighborhood and ourselves safe. We want to express our gratitude to the school administration and the guest speaker for the fire prevention and drill training we received as students who respect safety and responsibility.

Fire safety is everyone's responsibility. Let us all do our part to prevent fires and keep ourselves and our communities safe

Be prepared Lakan Dulans!
