Regarding the incident that occurred today, July 1, 2026, involving a Grade 2 pupil of Bug-ang Elementary School and a Grade 10 student of Bug-ang National High School, we wish to clarify that the incident was purely accidental.

The school administration responded immediately and has taken the necessary steps to address the situation. Likewise, the Barangay Bug-ang Government has promptly implemented precautionary measures, which the school administration fully supports.

We would like to assure parents, learners, and the community that the safety and well-being of all school-goers remain our highest priority. Existing safety protocols are being strictly enforced, and additional preventive measures will be implemented to further strengthen the safety and security of everyone on campus.

This is in relation to the comment made by a parent regarding the proposed homeroom project for School Year 2026–2027, which involved a suggested contribution of ₱500.00 for the repair of comfort rooms (CRs) and the provision of ceiling fans.

We would like to clarify that the administration of Bug-ang Elementary School has already allocated funds under the Third Quarter Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), particularly through the Gender and Development (GAD) Program, for the repair and improvement of comfort rooms and handwashing facilities. In addition, the school administration has allocated and will continue to allocate MOOE funds for the procurement of ceiling fans and other necessary furniture, fixtures, and equipment to support a safe and conducive learning environment.

Furthermore, pursuant to DepEd policies, particularly the prohibition against mandatory collections in public schools, no learner shall be required to contribute any amount as a condition for enrollment, attendance, or participation in school activities. Any support extended by parents and stakeholders shall remain strictly voluntary and in accordance with existing DepEd rules and regulations.

As this matter has already been addressed and resolved, we remain committed to transparency, accountability, and the proper utilization of public funds.

We look forward to working collaboratively with parents, stakeholders, and the community to ensure the effective implementation of educational programs and the welfare of all learners.

This is to inform the public that Brigada Eskwela will start today, June 1, 2026, and will run until Friday, June 5, 2026.

We are calling on parents, stakeholders, alumni, and community members to participate in this bayanihan activity to help prepare our school for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026.

In line with this, the enrollment period will also be conducted during Brigada Eskwela week. Parents and guardians are encouraged to come and enroll their children.

The submission of pertinent documents to the Division Selection Sub-Committee is on February 5, 2026 and the School submission of Documents deadline is on January 30,2026.
