The Provincial Youth Leadership Camp 2026, held on August 12โ14, 2026 at Villa Salome Resort, Tiwi, Albay, brought together young leaders from different youth organizations across Albay for three days of learning, meaningful discussions, and fellowship.
The event was made possible through the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) Albay, in partnership with LGBTQIA+ CORONA โ Tiwi Chapter, providing the youth with a space to strengthen their knowledge, leadership skills, and understanding of issues that matter to their communities.
Through the different sessions led by the resource speakers, participants gained valuable insights on youth development, financial literacy, and the importance of exercising their right to vote. They were also introduced to agriculture and fisheries opportunities for the youth, project proposal making, SOGIE and respectful communication, and youth best practices that can help them become more active and responsible community leaders.
The camp also tackled anti-cyber law, helping participants become more aware of responsible digital citizenship and the importance of protecting themselves and others online. The discussions on discovering oneโs calling and career guidance likewise encouraged the youth to look beyond the present and start thinking about the direction they want to take in the future.
