TNHS teachers spearheaded by the English teachers are implementing this current school year's remedial reading- Project ROCSHA (Reading Orally Comprehensively School Home Activity)/Baha:Happiyaw ni Tangla- the school's version of the Division's Project BIDBID. This project aims to improve learners' literacy.
One of the activities in this project is oral reading at 12:30-12:55 noon where independent readers in their class facilitates oral reading of sight words, phrases, sentences, short stories, tongue twisters, songs, poems, Bible verses/passages, etc. with the supervision of their English Teacher.

Snappy salute to these peer reading teachers who shares the same vision of making every learner a reader. We do believe that they read today, and will lead tomorrow.

Sir Akerswayne Mocate, LGU Tinoc employee, voluntarily mentored the learners on word reading, vocabulary building, sentence construction and answering comprehension questions that help improve the learners' reading skills.

He further enriched the learners' knowledge about bu'lul through the reading text.

Police Corporal Marlon Teninio and Patrolman Jesmar Baucas mentor Brigada Pagbasa learners on word reading, and English vocabulary building using the Anti-Rape Law as reading text on August 17, 2022 at the AVR, Tinoc NHS.
The activities help the learners improve their reading skills and give them better understanding about the law. Furthermore, they encourage all the learners to do their best in their studies especially students who dream to become policemen in the future.

Look: Two TNHS Alumni take part in Brigada Pagbasa through the conduct of story reading, spelling, constructing of sentence, and theme analysis employing interactive individual/group games.
Winners in the games receive school supplies as prizes. Learners and mentors have snacks after the reading session.

Volunteer mentors from the MSWD respond to our letter of invitation and facilitate the following reading activities to the learners: choral and individual oral reading, sight word reading, spelling, and song interpretation through actions.

School supplies and skin care product were given as prizes to learners who obtain a passing score in the spelling activity.

Snacks were distributed to the learners after the reading activities.

Kalanguya Cultural Community Multi-purpose Cooperative (KCCMC) personnel, volunteer mentors in Brigada Pagbasa, tutor at least two learners on word reading and comprehension. Moreover, they explain to them the importance of saving some percentage of their allowances instead of spending it in vices.

The reading session starts with a prayer and ends with a snack provided by KCCMC.

To God be the glory!

Sir Mark Dennis O. Arzadon from the DSWD- 4Ps, one of the volunteer mentors of Brigada Pagbasa, encourages the learners today through reading and analysis of the poem "Don't Quit" by John Greenleaf Whittier.

Tinoc National High School is very much grateful for helping us realize our dream- "Every child a reader" and thank you for the knowledge and life skills you shared to our learners.

Activities done:
Choral reading of the poem,
small group oral reading,
sight-words reading,
unlocking of word difficulties through interactive group game,
discussion of the poem's message through question and answer, pen and paper quiz, giving of prizes to winners in the group game and to learners with perfect score in the quiz conducted, and distribution of school supplies and facemasks to the participants
