𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬

Today, we honor 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐮𝐱, Abbot and Doctor of the Church, a great Cistercian reformer, preacher, and defender of the faith. Vatican News also lists Saint Samuel, Prophet, and Saint Mary de Mattias, Virgin and Foundress, on this date.

Born in Burgundy around 1090, Saint Bernard entered the newly founded Cistercian monastery at Cîteaux together with several companions. He later founded the Abbey of Clairvaux, where he became abbot and played a major role in the growth and renewal of the Cistercian Order.

Saint Bernard was renowned for his profound love for Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, his powerful preaching, and his writings on spiritual life. He travelled extensively throughout Europe, working for the unity of the Church, defending the faith, and encouraging Christians to return wholeheartedly to God.

His writings earned him the title Doctor of the Church, and his life continues to inspire Christians to seek God through prayer, humility, love, and faithful service.

Reflection:
Like Saint Bernard, may we seek God with all our hearts, remain faithful to the truth, and use our words, knowledge, and gifts to encourage others in faith and lead them closer to Christ.

𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵

Today, we honor 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬, Priest and Founder of the Eudists, a zealous missionary and promoter of devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Born in Normandy, France, in 1601, Saint John Eudes entered the Oratory of Jesus and was ordained a priest. He devoted himself especially to preaching parish missions and bringing people back to a deeper relationship with God. His ministry was marked by compassion for the poor, sinners, and those in need of spiritual renewal.

Recognizing the importance of forming holy and dedicated priests, Saint John Eudes founded the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, known as the Eudists, in 1643. He also established communities dedicated to caring for women who were seeking to leave difficult circumstances and begin a new life rooted in faith.

Saint John Eudes was a great promoter of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, emphasizing God's merciful love and calling the faithful to conversion and holiness. He was canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1925.

His life reminds us that genuine evangelization begins with a heart transformed by God's love and becomes fruitful through compassionate service to others.

Like Saint John Eudes, may we open our hearts to God's mercy, deepen our love for the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and courageously share the Gospel through prayer, compassion, and service.

Bilang pakikiisa sa diwa ng selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wika, ilan sa ating mga mag-aaral mula Pre-Kindergarten hanggang Grade 12 ay buong pagmamalaking nagsuot ng kani-kanilang “Bihis Pinoy” ngayong Miyerkules (Wash Day).

Mula sa makukulay na tela hanggang sa mga tradisyunal na disenyo, tunay na naipakita ng ating mga mag-aaral ang pagpapahalaga at pagmamahal sa wikang Filipino, kulturang Pilipino, at ating pagkakakilanlan bilang isang bayan. 🇵🇭

Sa bawat kasuotan, buhay ang ating kultura. Sa bawat pagsusuot nito, patuloy nating ipinagmamalaki kung sino tayo bilang mga Pilipino.

Mabuhay ang wikang Filipino! Mabuhay ang kulturang Pilipino! ❤️💙💛

𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟴

Today, we honor 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚, Empress, a woman of deep faith, humility, generosity, and devotion who used her position and resources to serve the poor and seek the sacred places associated with Christ.

Saint Helena was the mother of Emperor Constantine. After her conversion to Christianity, she became known for her care for the poor, prisoners, and those suffering from hardship. Despite receiving the honored title of Augusta, she remained humble and dedicated her life to works of mercy. Vatican News also recounts her pilgrimage to the Holy Land, where she supported the construction of important basilicas and became traditionally associated with the discovery of the True Cross.

Saint Helena reminds us that true greatness is not measured by position, wealth, or honor, but by how faithfully we use what we have to serve God and others. Her life teaches us the value of humility, compassion, perseverance, and a faith that expresses itself through acts of love.

𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳

Today, we honor 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐮𝐬, Pope and Martyr, a faithful shepherd of the Church who courageously defended the truth of the faith and remained steadfast in his service to Christ.

Saint Eusebius served as Pope during the early 4th century, at a difficult time for the Church following the persecutions of the Roman Empire. He firmly defended the faith and worked to preserve the unity of the Christian community, particularly concerning the reconciliation of Christians who had renounced their faith during persecution.

His firmness brought him into conflict with Emperor Maxentius, who opposed his efforts. Saint Eusebius was eventually exiled to Sicily, where he died around the year 310. His faithful witness earned him the honor of martyrdom.

Saint Eusebius reminds us that authentic Christian leadership requires courage, fidelity, and compassion. He defended the truth while remaining committed to the spiritual care and unity of God's people.

Reflection:
Like Saint Eusebius, may we remain faithful to Christ even when faced with difficulties, defend the truth with courage and charity, and work for unity within our families, communities, and Church.

In celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month, Queen of Heaven Mission School, Inc. successfully conducted a School Emergency Response Team (SERT) Training for our Queenians focusing on essential life-saving and emergency response skills—including proper bandaging, Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and safe carrying and rescue techniques. 🩹🫀🆘🚑

This impactful training would not have been possible without the invaluable support and expertise of our partners from the Tigbauan Emergency Rescue Team (TERT). 🙌🚑👨‍🚒

From the bottom of our hearts, we extend our deepest gratitude to TERT for their dedication, passion, and commitment in guiding and empowering our school responders. Your hands-on instruction and practical exercises have helped us build confidence, competence, and a stronger sense of readiness in responding to emergencies.
