During the rigorous sepak takraw tournament, three teams claimed the championship for this yearโs Sports Fest 2026, held today, August 15, 2026.
The White Team reigned supreme after ending a neck-and-neck battle with the Purple Team in the sepak takraw womenโs division.
Meanwhile, in the Menโs sepak takraw division, four competing teams fought intensively for the gold medal: Pink Team, White Team, Purple Team and Black Team.
In the first game, the Purple Team dominated the court with a match against the White Team which ended in a 2-0 (15-7, 16-14) win, in favor of the Purple Team.
The Pink Team led the second match with a tight win of 1-1 (15-6, 14-16) versus the Black Team. A seven-point margin decided the win for the Pink Team with a combined score of 29-22, solidifying the pink teamโs first qualifying win, an inch closer to the finale.
For the third game, the fight between the Purple Team and White Team ended in a total point deadlock as both teams garnered a combined set score of 37-37. During the grueling three-set match, the White Team won two sets, 2-1 (15-12, 7-15, 15-10), however, the Purple Team managed to secure a win on the first round, court rules decide the winning team based on their combined scores from earlier matches, allowing the Purple Team to advance into the finals.
And for the final match, the Purple Team showcased an impressive 2-1 (13-15, 15-7, 15-10) win against the Pink Team, ending the relentless exchange of kicks and tekongsโsealing a triumphant victory. Both teams engaged in a fierce showdown of attacks and defense.
In the Junior High School Menโs division, Blue Stingers ended the Bulldogs in an intense two-set battle, 2-0 (17-15, 13-11), setting the stage for a four-point difference victory for the Stingers.
