Ipinakita ng mga g**o ng F. Bustamante National High School (FBNHS) ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Filipino sa pamamagitan ng isang photo session na isinagawa noong Agosto 27, 2026 bilang bahagi ng pagtatapos ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika.

Dumalo ang mga g**o mula sa iba’t ibang departamento na buong pagmamalaking nagsuot ng barong, Filipiñana, at iba pang katutubong kasuotan bilang pagsalamin sa mayamang kultura at pagkakakilanlan ng mga Pilipino.

“Nagtapos ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 ng Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng F. Bustamante sa pamamagitan ng pagkuha ng larawan ng bawat departamento na nakasuot ng kasuotang Filipino,” ani Gng. Zenaida O. Teleron, Ulong G**o ng Departamento ng Filipino.

Binigyang-diin ni Gng. Teleron na naging makahulugan ang aktibidad dahil sa sama-samang pakikilahok ng mga g**o, na aniya’y patunay na nagiging magaan ang anumang gawain kapag may pagkakaisa.

“Walang gawaing mahirap kapag ang bawat isa ay handang makiisa,” dagdag ni Gng. Teleron.

Samantala, iniugnay rin ang photo session sa tema ng pagdiriwang, na nagbibigay-diin sa papel ng makabagong teknolohiya sa pagpapalawig ng gamit at pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino.

“Sa pagtatapos ng Buwan ng Wika 2026, ating baunin ang aral mula sa tema na ang Wikang Filipino at Artificial Intelligence (AI) ay maaaring maging makapangyarihang katuwang sa paghahanap, pagsusuri, at pagbabahagi ng kaalaman,” pahayag ni Gng. Teleron.

Sa pamamagitan ng aktibidad, naipakita hindi lamang ang makukulay na mukha ng kulturang Filipino kundi maging ang pagkakaisa ng mga g**o bilang isang komunidad na patuloy na nagtataguyod sa wika, kultura, at makabagong paraan ng pagkatuto.

Umaasa si Gng. Teleron na magsisilbing tulay ang wikang Filipino at makabagong teknolohiya tungo sa mas malawak na impormasyon, makabuluhang pananaliksik, at mas maliwanag na kinabukasan.

Binigyang kulay ng mga Senior High School (SHS) students at g**o ng Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng Francisco Bustamante (MPPFB) ang selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wika sa pamamagitan ng Pista sa Nayon, kung saan itinampok sa mga classroom-based exhibit ang iba’t ibang anyo ng kulturang Pilipino.

Ibinida sa mga silid-aralan ang mga tradisyunal na kasuotan, dekorasyon, pagtatanghal, at iba pang gawaing sumasalamin sa kultura at tradisyon ng bansa, alinsunod sa temang “Wikang Pilipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik.”

“Ang pagdiriwang ng Pista sa Nayon ay nagpapakita hindi lang ng kultura at wika, kundi rin sa pamamagitan ng pagpapahalaga ng bawat isa sa iba’t ibang aspeto ng buhay ng isang Pilipino,” ani G. Reige Raphael Alburo, Teacher I. “Ano man ang kanilang kultura at wika, nagkakaisa ang bawat tao sa pamamagitan ng bigayan at pagmamahal sa bayan.”

Sa pamamagitan ng classroom-based exhibit, nabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga mag-aaral at g**o na maipakita ang kanilang pagkamalikhain habang ipinapamalas ang pagpapahalaga sa sariling wika, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan bilang Pilipino.

Showcasing the theme “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation Through Technology and Partnerships,” F. Bustamante National High School (FBNHS) Grade 12–Descartes learner and BustaVanguard Productions Managing Editor and Layout Artist Lenard Allawan clinched the championship in the Photojournalism and Same-Day Edit Competition of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, organized by the Davao City Youth Development Office (DCYDO).

Representing the Bunawan District, Allawan’s winning entry, Kabataang Konektado, captured how technology and social media empower young people to engage in their communities, forge connections, and rally around shared causes by featuring Davao City Youth Development Office Representative Emmanuel Crismas, RSW, during the opening of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 at Rizal Park, Davao City, on August 3.

“I’m thankful to F. Bustamante NHS and BustaVanguard for giving students like me an avenue to develop and improve the craft I’m passionate about. I’m grateful to the school because every competition gives me an opportunity to learn, hone my skills, and grow with the team. Indeed, I am proud to be a BustaVanguard,” Allawan shared. “I also want to express my gratitude Sangguniang Kabataan of Bunawan Proper and the Bunawan District for their support and for giving me this opportunity.”

The competition challenged participants to capture impactful moments and turn them into engaging visual stories, with online reactions and shares influencing the judges’ scores for the Best Photojournalism and Same-Day Edit categories.

“Hindi man lahat ay nasa mismong lugar, sa pamamagitan ng teknolohiya ay naipaparamdam natin na bahagi sila ng pagdiriwang at ng iisang layunin,” Crismas said in Allawan’s entry, highlighting technology’s role in connecting young people despite physical distance.

Adding to the team’s list of accomplishments, FBNHS BustaVanguard Productions recently secured a spot in the Top 10 finalists and received the Best in Editing Special Award during the Hulagway sa Davao Video-Making Competition awarding ceremony on July 29 at the Sangguniang Panglungsod Building in San Pedro, Davao City.

Building on its increasing recognition in photography, editing, and filmmaking, BustaVanguard continues to turn competitions into opportunities for young storytellers like Allawan to hone their skills while proudly representing their school and team.

Like the rosal flower, whose delicate blooms are nurtured through time and care, meaningful leadership does not flourish overnight. It takes root in purpose, grows through service, and leaves its mark through the people it helps develop.

As Francisco Bustamante National High School (FBNHS) opens another academic year with renewed aspirations, it also welcomes a new season of hope under the leadership of Sir Welito I. Rosal, Principal III. His arrival signals more than a transition at the helm; it marks an opportunity for the school community to build on what has already been cultivated while responding to new challenges and possibilities. In a school where every learner is a work in progress, leadership, too, is a continuous act of cultivating an environment where teachers can teach with purpose and learners can grow with confidence.

For F. Bustamante NHS, this new administration begins with a shared responsibility: to sustain what has flourished, strengthen what needs nurturing, and create space for new ideas to take root.

𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗬

Some leaders are remembered for the positions they held. Others are remembered for the people they served. But at F. Bustamante National High School, a leader is remembered for something far greater: the lives she touched, the people she empowered, and the community she strengthened through service.

Dr. Liberty L. Rasgo-Arellano is more than the Principal IV of F. Bustamante NHS. Her leadership has become part of the everyday rhythm of the school—heard in the encouragement she extended to teachers, felt in the opportunities she opened for learners, and reflected in a community she continuously challenged to grow, serve, and become better.

Her leadership was never simply about leading people; it was about giving them spaces to lead, to serve, and to believe in their own capacity to make a difference.

That is what makes her legacy liberating.

Through her service, she gave teachers the confidence to pursue their work with purpose, learners the space to discover their potential, and members of the school community the opportunity to take part in building a stronger institution.

Now, as she begins a new chapter as the Principal-in-Charge of Cluster XIII, she does not leave behind a community defined by sadness, but one filled with gratitude and pride—a community confident enough to carry forward the legacy she has begun.

Because the greatest mark of a leader is not the work that ends when she leaves. It is the work that continues because she has empowered others to carry it forward.

Dr. Arellano, your legacy lives not only in what you have led, but in the lives you have helped move forward. Your name may be written in the records of this institution, but your service is written in its people—in the teachers you supported, the learners you inspired, and the community you strengthened.

And that is a legacy that will not simply be remembered. It will continue to echo.

Promoting excellence and continuous school improvement, the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Davao City conducted PAKIG-AMBIT Year 3 at Francisco Bustamante National High School (FBNHS), carrying out an onsite monitoring and evaluation to review the school's implementation of programs, instructional practices, and operational performance while providing technical assistance to school leaders.

The activity brought together division supervisors, school administrators, and department heads in a comprehensive assessment of school operations, allowing the evaluation team to identify effective practices, validate program implementation, and address concerns that require further support from the division office.

"We are here together with Sir D**a and Ma'am Sarile to provide technical assistance to F. Bustamante National High School whenever needed while also identifying the school's best practices, listening to the concerns of the department heads, and determining how we can further support them in strengthening teaching and learning," said Ma'am Cifra.

The activity concluded with a renewed commitment between the Schools Division of Davao City and FBNHS to sustain collaboration through continuous monitoring and technical assistance, ensuring that the gains identified during the 3rd year of PAKIG-AMBIT translate into stronger teaching and learning.

Encouraging students to make nutritious and mindful food choices despite the classroom-based celebration, Francisco Bustamante National High School (FBNHS) successfully held its annual events anchored on the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) overarching theme, "Sa PPAN, Sama- sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat," this year's Nutrition month carries the sub-theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan."

Following the DepEd Memorandum No. 045, s. 2026 and DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026, the celebration integrates healthy literacy and sustainable practices into classroom-based learning
through the classroom activities celeration such as nutriquiz, poster and book mark making, feeding, and the NutriBaon challenge.

"Through following the official guidelines, we turn our classroom into a healthy hub of literacy and sustainable habits," said Jean A. Liboon, TLE Department Head. "With the support of the TLE teachers, creative students, and ever-supportive parent volunteers who made this success."

The culmination concluded with a short classroom program where outstanding students were recognized for their consistency and creativity. Awards such as Most Nutritious Baon and Best Eco-Friendly Presentation were handed out, celebrating the shared triumph of the learners, advisers, and supportive parents.

Ipinamalas ng Francisco Bustamante National High School ang kanilang lakas, disiplina, at matibay na samahan matapos nilang talunin ang Mahayag National High School at tinapos ang digmaan sa bisa ng 47-32, upang makamit ang kampeonato sa Basketball Tournament — Girls Category ng Cluster Meet 2026.

Mula sa unang yugto ng laro, agad na ipinakita ng Francisco Bustamante NHS ang kanilang kontrol sa court sa pamamagitan ng organisadong opensa, agresibong depensa, at mahusay na koordinasyon ng bawat manlalaro. Hindi nila hinayaang makuha ng Mahayag NHS ang momentum habang unti-unti nilang pinalawak ang lamang hanggang sa huling buzzer.

“Daghan kaayu mig giagian na training bago mi naabot dria sa amung daog, wala ko nag expect nga ma champion mi maong daghan kaayu kog pasalamat sakong mama ug papa ug sakong coach ug teammates kay nagkaroon mig chemistry ug unlimited support para aning dulaa,” ani Razelann Hermosilla.

Ayon kay Hermosilla, ang kanilang tagumpay ay bunga ng matinding paghahanda, sakripisyo, at pagtutulungan ng buong koponan. Ang pagkakaroon ng matibay na chemistry at walang sawang suporta sa isa’t isa ang nagsilbing pundasyon ng kanilang pag-abot sa kampeonato.

Sa kabilang banda, ipinakita rin ng Mahayag National High School ang kanilang determinasyon at hindi sumuko hanggang sa huling minuto ng laban. Gayunpaman, nanaig ang mas matatag na laro ng Francisco Bustamante NHS matapos nilang mapanatili ang kanilang kalamangan.

Sa pagtatapos ng kompetisyon, pinatunayan ng Francisco Bustamante National High School na ang pagkakaisa, disiplina, at matatag na samahan ang susi sa kanilang tagumpay bilang kampeon sa Basketball Tournament — Girls Category ng Cluster Meet 2026.

Sa bawat rally, namayani ang kanilang mahusay na kombinasyon ng opensa, depensa, at pagkakaisa upang maiuwi ang titulo.
