CBM DOMINATES CTE IN THRILLING BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

After the suspension of the PasUpAl on November 21, 2025, the game resumed yesterday, November 24, 2025, with great eagerness at the Recreational Fitness Center of the UA - TLMC, hosting the much-anticipated basketball championship game between the College of Business and Management (CBM) and the College of Teacher Education (CTE).

The RFC was packed and lively, filled with excited fans shouting and cheering. Both teams showed skill and determination from the opening tip-off.

CBM’s strategic offense and stifling defense posed a tough challenge for CTE, though CTE’s resilience kept the game competitive. The back-and-forth action kept the crowd on edge, with every shot met by thunderous applause.

As the game progressed, CBM gained momentum, executing their plays and capitalizing on key moments. Despite CTE’s strong fight, CBM’s constant pressure was overwhelming.

"For me, as a captain ball of the CTE Men Basketball, I will say that the game was very intense but enjoyable. It was our first time to be in the championship game and yet, it was a nice game indeed even though we are defeated. As we received 1st place, I would like to extend my gratitude to my team, teachers, supporters and coach. This was the best achievement and memories that I will cherish as I ended my college journey. I wish a good luck to the next CTE players." Mr. Michael Vincent Bulagao, the captain ball of CTE Men Basketball said.

Mr. Peter Berdan Jason, the captain ball of CBM Men Basketball said that "As a Captain Ball, I’m really proud of the team. We worked hard, stayed united, and earned this championship. Everyone fought for every possession and gave their best until the end. Thank you to our coaches, supporters, and teammates. We’ll enjoy this win and continue to improve."

In the end, CBM emerged on top by defeating CTE with a 94-72 score. Players and supporters of CBM in the RFC erupted in excitement as they celebrated their hard-earned victory.

The match showcased the talent, determination, and sportsmanship of both teams, leaving a lasting impression on those who witnessed the thrilling game at UA TLMC.

CBM Sweeps Both Titles at PasUpAl 2025 Volleyball Championship

On November 21, 2025, the College of Business and Management (CBM) of UNIT 3 dominated the PasUpAl 2025 Volleyball Championship, clinching titles in both the men's and women's divisions against UNIT 2 College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS).

The women’s team set the tone early with a powerful performance, winning the championship in four sets. With steady ball control and sharp attacks, CBM maintained the lead despite several determined rallies from CCIS.

Moreover, the men’s team kept the energy up and wrapped up their game in three sets, closing the match with a final set score 25–21 score. Their teamwork and strong defense make their play powerful throughout the match.

Because of these wins, CBM demonstrated remarkable athletic depth and reinforced its status as a top contender in this year’s PasUpAl events.

UNIT 1 Falls Short in Thrilling Baseball Third-Place Match

The College of Teacher Education competed in the PasUpAl Baseball Third-Place Match on November 21, 2025, where they lost a close game, 6–5, against The College of Fisheries.

Even though CTE did not win, the team showed a strong and determined performance throughout the game.

CCIS Emerges as Overall Champion in the UA-TLMC Dance Sport Competition 2025

UA - TLMC Recreational Fitness Center was filled with thunderous laughter and cheers on November 20, 2025 as students from various departments showcased their talents in the highly anticipated PasUpAl 2025 Dance Sports Competition.

The event brought together passionate participants from the UNIT 1 College of Teacher Education and Laboratory High School , the UNIT 2 College of Computing and Information Sciences, and the UNIT 3 College of Business and Management.

Dance styles featured included Modern Standard such as slow waltz, tango, viennese waltz, foxtrot, and quickstep, as well as Latin American like samba, cha-cha-cha, rumba, paso doble, and jive. A similar set of dances—samba, cha-cha-cha, rumba, paso doble, and jive—were also performed under the Third World category.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Sir Jose N. Magbanua, Director of Student Affairs and Services.

Campus Director Professor Porferio S. Bangcaya then delivered a heartfelt and inspiring message. " Champions are not just in contribution, they are made in quiet, unseen moments, with nobody's watching".

The competition heated up as each pair performed their individual dances under the three categories.

After the individual rounds, the Grade A dance featured couples performing all five dance categories consecutively across the different styles.

During the awarding ceremony, CTE- LHS dominated the Modern Standard category, winning Best in Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep.

CCIS swept all Latin American awards, earning Best in Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive, while CTE- LHS ruled the Third World category with wins in Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive.

In the Grade A awards for Modern Standard, CBM won Bronze, CTE - LHS secured both Silver and Gold.

For Latin American, CBM took Bronze, CTE - LHS received Silver, and CCIS captured Gold.
In the Third World category, CBM won Bronze, CTE - LHS earned Silver, and CCIS achieved Gold.

At the end of the event, CCIS was declared the Overall Champion in Dance Sport.

The competition concluded with loud applause and pride as the dancers celebrated their achievements.

UA TLMC University of Antique Tario Lim Memorial Campus Ignites PasUpAl with Mass Dance Competition

November 20, 2025 – The University of Antique Tario Lim Memorial Campus (UA TLMC) filled with energy and school spirit as each department showcased their talent in the annual PasUpAl Mass Dance Competition.

Students from the Laboratory High School, College of Teacher Education, College of Fisheries, College of Computing and Information Sciences, and College of Business and Management competed in a vibrant display of choreography and teamwork.

This year's competition featured all participating departments performed with the same music, emphasizing creativity and innovation in their routines.

Adding to the visual spectacle, students wore their respective Physical Education (PE) uniforms, creating a unified yet diverse representation of the university's academic spectrum.

The event was a resounding success, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among the students.

The PasUpAl Mass Dance Competition not only highlighted the university's commitment to holistic development but also showcased the talent and dedication of the UA TLMC community.
