A GURU Society Orientation was held at the Licup Covered Court ( LCC) last Thursday, July 23, 2026. The orientation aimed to welcome the freshies of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program with the theme of "Embracing the GURU's Spirit: Welcoming Future Educators with Purpose, Unity, and Responsibilities".

During the orientation, the GURU officers also discussed the background of the organization, its preamble and constitutions and by-laws, as well as the past activities of the GURU society program.

Due to the temporary interruption of today's General Student Orientation caused by the inclement weather, some of the scheduled topics were not completed. These will instead be discussed during the Program Orientation of each academic program.

Please be guided by the following schedule on July 21, 2026 (Tuesday) at the Licup Covered Court:

9:00 AM โ€“ 11:00 AM

๐Ÿ• Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd)
1:00 PM โ€“ 3:00 PM

3:00 PM โ€“ 5:00 PM

๐Ÿ“Œ Important Reminders:

โ€ข Students are required to attend the Program Orientation of their respective academic program.
โ€ข Parents or guardians are strongly encouraged to attend the orientation, as important academic policies, campus guidelines, and student-related matters will also be discussed.
โ€ข If you do not have a scheduled Program Orientation, you may proceed to your respective classes and meet your course instructor based on your class schedule.

SLSU Tiaong Campus will conduct its General Student Orientation for all incoming first-year students tomorrow. Please be guided by the program and the following reminders:

๐Ÿ“… Date: July 20, 2026 (Monday)
๐Ÿ•™ Time: 10:00 AM
๐Ÿ“ Venue: Licup Covered Court

Important Reminders:

* All incoming first-year students are encouraged to attend the Flag Raising Ceremony at 7:00 AM before the start of the General Student Orientation.
* All incoming first-year students are required to attend the General Student Orientation, regardless of whether or not they have classes scheduled on Mondays.
* Incoming first-year students are advised to wear a plain white shirt and maong pants while they are preparing their prescribed school uniform. The dress code for the academic year will be discussed during the orientation.
* Second-year to fourth-year students are required to wear their prescribed school uniform.
