Ever since psychologist Daniel Goleman has brought the concept of emotional intelligence to the forefront in 1995 there have been decades of research indicating what a huge determinate emotional intelligence is on a person’s relationships and overall quality of life.

Mga magulang, ngayong laging gumagamit ng gadget ang ating mga anak, na checheck ba natin kung marunong silang:

✅ Gumamit ng gunting
✅ Gumamit ng ruler
✅ Magtali ng sapatos
✅ Humawak ng lapis ng tama (depende sa edad)

Sa dalas mag type at mag swipe, may mga grade school students ngayon na hindi nagagawa ang mga "fine motor skills" na ito! Kailangan po nila ito sa pang araw araw nilang buhay 😉

When we look at our children's report cards, there’s no box for “being kind to others.”

When we see friends post pictures of their children on Facebook, it’s rarely for how kind they are; it’s usually about their latest achievement.

One easy way we can bring the focus back to a child’s inner qualities is by the way we praise them.
How we praise our children really matters. It tells them what qualities we really value.

Try this: look for ways to praise your child’s inner qualities (not only achievement)--kindness, thoughtfulness, being a good friend, etc. This can go a long way towards showing them that you care about the person they are becoming, not just their achievement. 💗💚
