ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Norte
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Sa lahat ng mga mag-aaral, magulang, at guardians ng Abuyod Elementary School:

📚 Modular Distance Learning (MDL) / Online Class ang ipatutupad bukas, Agosto 19, 2026. Hindi muna magkakaroon ng face-to-face classes bilang pag-iingat sa kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral at school personnel dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan at masamang panahon.

📖 Pinapayuhan ang mga mag-aaral na makipag-ugnayan sa kanilang mga g**o at sundin ang mga ibibigay na learning activities/modules.

MALACAÑANG ORDERS ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS AMID HEAVY RAINS

ordered government offices in Metro Manila and 14 provinces to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the southwest .

Under Memorandum Circular 128, the directive covers Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna and Occidental Mindoro.

Alternative learning modes will also be implemented for all levels in public and private schools in the affected areas unless otherwise directed by their respective local chief executives.

Agencies providing basic and health services, disaster response and other vital services will continue operations, while work arrangements in the private sector are left to management’s discretion. | Raffy Ayeng

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 126 from the Office of the President, due to the ongoing effects of the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), it is recommended to implement Alternative Modes of Delivery of Learning (AMDL) for all public and private schools in the town of Teresa this afternoon, Friday, August 14, 2026.

Our area remains under a Heavy Rainfall Warning, which may experience heavy rainfall and scattered showers.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, continue to monitor official announcements, and always prioritize safety.
