SPC '23 starts spreading the news

2023 School Press Conference officially welcomed potential writers on November 8-10, 2023 to train and upskill the 21st Century Campus Journalists in preparation to Teresa Sub-Office Press Conference.

In collaboration of the Miners SPA, Ms. Jessica Marie Borromeo, and Ang Minero SPA, Mrs. Edna Ebreo, they gathered student-journalists with a quick overview of Campus Journalism and foster their journalistic writing skills in both individual and group categories.

Over 24 potential student-writers of English and 30 Filipino student-writers joined together in an opening ceremony held at Tagpuan Hall at 2:30 in the afternoon. The event was hosted by Ms. Herlyn San Buenaventura, English 8 teacher. The rationale also adhered with the Division Memorandum No. 539 or the Conduct of School and Sub-Office Press Conference to acknowledge the importance of providing teachers and learners an avenue for the development and enhancement of their journalistic competencies through exposure to varied experiences outside the four walls of the classrooms.

The Top 1 in each category for both English and Filipino will advance to the Sub-Office Press Conference which will be held on November 21, 2023 at Abuyod National High School as the host school of the said event.
