IN ACTION: Coordination Meetings Strengthen Safety and Security Measures in Teresa District Schools
Last June 23, 2026, a pivotal meeting was held between the School Safety and Security Committee of Teresa District and PMAJ Rodiard S. Dela Peña, Chief of Police of Teresa Municipal Police Station. The gathering focused on enhancing the safety and security protocols within the district’s elementary and secondary schools. The discussion centered on implementing effective safety measures to protect students, staff, and school properties amidst growing concerns over security threats.
Building on this, a subsequent convergence took place on June 25, 2026, attended by School Heads from all public elementary and secondary schools in Teresa. The event was led by Mrs. Judith U. Clarito, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), and was attended by law enforcement officials represented by PMSg Melody Nambuca of the Teresa Police. The purpose of this convergence was to ratify and officially approve the Localized Guidelines on Safety and Security Mechanism of Teresa District.
The approved guidelines aim to provide clear directions and cohesive strategies for the implementation of the District Safety and Security Plan across all schools. These measures are intended to foster a safer learning environment, streamline emergency responses, and ensure consistent security practices district-wide.
Both meetings underscore the district’s commitment to prioritize safety, foster collaboration between schools and law enforcement, and establish a robust framework for safeguarding the school community. The concerted efforts of educators and law enforcement officials continue to reinforce Teresa District’s resolve to maintain a secure and conducive environment for learning.
