Hindi tulad dati na may recognition program o pagbibigay ng ribbon/medalya kada quarter, ang mga parangal para sa Academic Excellence ay igagawad na lamang 𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗮 𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗼𝗻—tuwing katapusan ng buong school year.

✅ 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗮 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟭 (𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟯): Para sa mga pinakabatang mag-aaral, tuluyan nang inalis ang mga akademikong parangal. Ang kanilang progreso ay ipapakita na lamang sa pamamagitan ng descriptive feedback o mga ulat ng g**o sa halip na mga grado at medalya upang maiwasan ang maagang pressure.

✅ 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗸𝘂𝗸𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮: Para sa mas matatandang mag-aaral (Grades 4-12), makatatanggap pa rin ng 𝘈𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘌𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 ang mga may general average na 𝟵𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝘀 (basta walang final grade na mas mababa sa 80).

Subalit, 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 (tulad ng 1st Honor, Top 1) at ang listahan ng mga awardees ay iaayos na lamang ayon sa alpabeto (alphabetical order) upang pantay-pantay ang pagkilala.

✅ 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 "𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀": Sa bagong sistema, direkta na itong tatawaging Academic Excellence Award nang walang pagkakahati-hati sa antas ng grado.

𝗔𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝘁𝗼?

Ayon sa DepEd, ginawa ang hakbang na ito upang:

📝 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀:
Para maibsan ang labis na pressure sa mga mag-aaral na naghahabol lamang ng matataas na marka kada quarter.

📝 𝗜𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 "𝗧𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻":
Upang buwagin ang hindi malusog na inggitan o kumpetisyon sa pagitan ng mga mag-aaral at maging ng mga magulang.

📝 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼:
Para maibalik ang pokus ng mga bata sa intrinsic motivation—o ang kagustuhang matuto para sa sarili nilang pag-unlad, at hindi lang para sa medalya o panandaliang pagkilala.
