Aiming to contribute to the transformation of the Philippine education landscape , Kingsville school leaders, Mr. Mark Lester Angeles and Mr. Dondon Pablo, joins the invitational education forum in Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and the exclusive tour and dialogue in Project Zero last December 2025.
AI AND EDUCATION
The discussion in HGSE forum, "Learning in an AI-Augmented World: Practices and Applications" acknowledges the shift of cognition and education with the prevalence of AI.
Pablo stated that the conversation led by Associate Professor Ying Xu with the three panelists allows a bigger picture of innovation to be welcomed in education.
PROJECT ZERO: NURTURING HUMAN POTENTIALS
Following this, Angeles and Pablo toured the Project Zero founded by philosopher Nelson Goodman which is housed at the HGSE.
Project Zero, dubbed today as an "intellectual wellspring, nourishing inquiry into the complexity of human potentials and exploring sustainable ways to support them across multiple and diverse cultural contexts," commits to the fusion of theory and practice for better educational processes and systems.
GLOBAL COMPETENCE: FROM PAPER TO PERSON
Thereafter, the meeting with Dr. Veronica Boix-Mansilla, originator of the philosophical thought on education, the Global Competence - the foundation of the critical research paper of Mr. Angeles at the Ateneo, was a defining moment translated from the Philippine soil to the American state of Massachusetts.
Being a part of PZ, Dr. Boix-Mansilla is an international expert in global and intercultural education, with research covering issues of times (migration, sustainability, climate change) through transformative pedagogies.
The dialogue with Dr. Boix-Mansilla included future endeavors with Kingsville. Mr. Pabloโs ideas about the EduKahon were commended by Dr. Boix-Mansilla.
Reaching the underprivileged through an โoutside-the-boxโ placed in a box approach streamlines several problems and offers solutions in an efficient way.
Through these endeavors, Kingsville continues to provide educational solutions and stands firm on its commitment to contribute to the Philippine education system.
