UP Kalilayan proudly shares that we have been recognized as a recipient of the ๐๐ ๐ง๐๐๐ข๐จ ๐. ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐ณ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ณ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌโ ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ๐ฌ under the Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction category.
This recognition was made possible through Tagisan 40, an inter-high school initiative that brought together more than 500 students from Quezon and Aurora. The project centers on the disproportionate impacts of the climate crisis on the Philippines as part of the Global South, zooming in on communities most vulnerable to its adverse effects.
Rest assured that we will continue to roll out initiatives, stand in solidarity with communities, and advocate for informed, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.
In the service of Quezon and Aurora, we remain.
