Alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng mga kinauukulang ahensya at bilang pag-iingat sa kaligtasan ng lahat, suspendido ang face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Lungsod ng Tayabas ngayong Martes, Agosto 18,
Kaugnay nito, gagamitin ang asynchronous modalities sa mga paaralan upang matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na pag-aaral ng mga mag-aaral.
Bunsod ito ng patuloy na banta ng masamang panahon dulot ng Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
Pinapayuhan ang lahat na manatiling nakatutok at sundin ang mga abiso ng lokal na pamahalaan, at iba pang kinauukulang ahensya.

West Philippine Sea Advocacy Awareness Campaign
On August 13, 2026, our students took part in a meaningful West Philippine Sea (WPS) Advocacy Awareness Campaign" aimed at deepening their understanding of our national sovereignty, maritime rights, environmental responsibility, and the importance of being responsible citizens.
The activity provided our learners with an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage in discussions about the West Philippine Sea and its significance to our country. May this experience inspire them to become more informed, responsible, and patriotic Filipinos who value and protect our nation.
Our sincere appreciation to the 15th Special Forces “Conqueror” Company, 4th Special Forces Battalion, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne),for sharing their time and knowledge with our learners.

Dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan at masamang lagay ng panahon dulot ng Habagat (Southwest Monsoon), ipinatutupad ang suspension ng face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas (Kindergarten hanggang College) sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Lungsod ng Tayabas ngayong Lunes, Agosto 10, 2026.

National Resilience Month 2026
National CPR Day Celebration
Theme: "Hawak Mo ang Beat to Save Lives"
In celebration of National Resilience Month, Lakawan Elementary School and Tayabas City National High School, headed by Dr. Larvin O. Labrada,School Principal I, successfully conducted the National CPR Day, with the theme, "Hawak Mo ang Beat to Save Lives." The activity was organized in partnership with the Philippine National Red Cross – Quezon-Lucena Chapter headed by Mr. Clodualdo O. Cabalsa,Chapter Service Representative Quezon-Lucena Chapter.
The program formally began with the Opening Remarks delivered by Dr. Larvin O. Labrada, School Principal I, who warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of National Resilience Month. He highlighted the significance of disaster preparedness and encouraged everyone to acquire life-saving skills, such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), to become responsible and capable responders during emergencies. He also expressed his gratitude to the Philippine National Red Cross – Quezon-Lucena Chapter for their invaluable partnership in promoting safety and resilience within the school community.
Following the opening remarks, Mr. Clodualdo Cabalsa, discussed the importance of immediate response during cardiac emergencies and emphasized that anyone can become a lifesaver through proper knowledge and training.
A comprehensive lecture-demonstration on Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was conducted, focusing on the 5Cs:
C✔ Check – Check the scene and the victim.
📞 Call – Call for emergency help and get an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
🛡️ Cover – Cover the mouth and nose before assisting.
❤️ Compress – Start chest compressions.
⚡ Connect – Connect and use the AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
Save lives by acting immediately and confidently.
Selected participants from Grade 6 to Grade 9 students actively engaged in the hands-on practice session under the guidance of Red Cross facilitators. They demonstrated enthusiasm, cooperation, and eagerness to learn proper CPR techniques. The activity provided valuable practical experience that enhanced participants' confidence in responding to emergency situations.
The successful conduct of the activity strengthened awareness on emergency preparedness and reinforced the shared commitment of both schools to promote a culture of safety, resilience, and volunteerism within the school community.
