AGUSAN DEL SUR — CALABARZON'S Liam Kendrick Yuzon secured his semifinals match in Elementary Boys' Singles Badminton division at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa.

In the quarterfinals, Yuzon faced a tough challenger from Region 11 (Davao Region) where he claimed straight sets scoring 21-16 on the first set and finishing strong with a 21-15 on the second.

Yuzon is bound to the semifinals today where he will battle against the two-time Palarong Pambansa champion from Region 1 (Ilocos Region).

AGUSAN DEL SUR— 11-year-old ZACHARY ZOLETA captured the bronze medal in the Elementary Boys’ Tennis division at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa today.

Representing Tayabas City and the CALABARZON region, Zoleta battled in the national court, claiming four remarkable match victories.

He began with a victory over BARMM (8-7, 7-4), followed by a win against NCR (8-5). He secured his third win against Region 12 (8-7, 7-5), ultimately advancing through the quarterfinals with an 8-4 win over Region 9.

With an impressive national victory, Zoleta brings pride back home to Region IV-A.

📣 Sending our strongest cheers to our Palarong Pambansa players from MLILC and Tayabas City: Noel Zachary Zoleta (Tennis) and Liam Kendrick Yuzon (Badminton). Let your training and perseverance shine in every game. Win or lose, you are already champions for making it this far.
