WPNHS Holds SPTA Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony 2026

West Palale National High School (WPNHS) successfully conducted its 2026 SPTA Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony at the Barangay Hall of Kanluran Palale, attended by parents and school stakeholders.

Representing the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Tayabas City, Dr. Montano Agudilla graced the occasion and delivered a meaningful message to the parents, school personnel, and stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of strong collaboration in supporting learners and the school community.

Tayabas City Mayor Hon. Anthony “Piwa” Lim also attended the activity and expressed his continued support for WPNHS and its needs. He led the oath-taking of the newly elected SPTA officers and shared an inspiring message with the parents.

The School Principal IV of WPNHS delivered the welcome remarks and expressed gratitude to Mayor Lim and the SDO Tayabas for their unwavering support to the school. Barangay Chairman Remegio Caagbay likewise shared a message of support.

Representatives from the Sangguniang Barangay of Lawiguie, Ilayang Palale, Ibabang Palale, and Masin were also present to show their support for WPNHS.

The celebration also featured the selection of Mrs. SPTA 2026, with representatives from the different grade levels participating in the special activity. A raffle activity was likewise held, adding excitement and camaraderie among the parents and participants.

A meaningful turnover ceremony between the outgoing and incoming SPTA officers was also conducted, symbolizing continuity, partnership, and renewed commitment to the welfare of WPNHS learners.

The event showcased the strong partnership of the school, parents, SDO Tayabas, local government, barangays, and community stakeholders in advancing quality education and supporting the learners of West Palale National High School.

PUBLIC ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

Alinsunod sa abiso ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Tayabas City, suspendido ang face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Lungsod ng Tayabas ngayong Martes, Agosto 18, 2026.

Sa halip, ipatutupad ang asynchronous learning modalities upang magpatuloy ang pagkatuto ng ating mga mag-aaral habang isinasaalang-alang ang kanilang kaligtasan.

Ang hakbang na ito ay bunsod ng patuloy na banta ng masamang panahon dulot ng Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Pinapayuhan ang lahat ng mag-aaral, magulang, at personnel na manatiling ligtas, maging mapagmatyag, at patuloy na subaybayan ang mga opisyal na anunsyo ng paaralan at Lokal na Pamahalaan.

In view of Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 127, and due to the continuing heavy rains brought by the **Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), classes at West Palale National High School (WPNHS) will shift to modular learning this afternoon, August 17, 2026.

Learners are advised to:
• Secure and accomplish their assigned learning modules.
• Follow the instructions and activities provided by their subject teachers.
• Stay updated through the official communication channels of WPNHS.

WPNHS SSLG Leaders Join Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 Leadership Simulation

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President Jade Mark Masongsong and Vice President Izzy Caguicla represented West Palale National High School during the Two-Day Leadership Simulation held at the LGU Tayabas City on August 16–17, 2026, as part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026.

The activity was conducted pursuant to Rule VI, Section 33 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 10742, also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015. This year’s celebration carries the theme, “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnership,” bringing together youth leaders from different secondary schools under the Schools Division of Tayabas City.

On Day 1, August 16, participants attended sessions on parliamentary procedures, leadership, and local governance, followed by the election of the Little Mayor and other youth officials. Day 2 focused on the Leadership Simulation, where the elected youth officials assumed their respective roles and experienced the processes and responsibilities of local governance.

The activity provided the young leaders with meaningful opportunities to develop their leadership, decision-making, collaboration, and civic engagement skills, empowering them to become responsible and active partners in building their community.

Congratulations, Jade Mark and Izzy, for representing West Palale National High School! Your participation reflects the school’s commitment to developing empowered, responsible, and future-ready youth leaders.

Grade 10 Students Showcase Skills in TLE Food Preparation

Grade 10 students actively participated in their TLE Food Preparation performance task as part of their learning competencies. The students prepared various bread and food products, including pancakes and cookies, while demonstrating proper techniques in butter mixing and bread preparation.

Guided by their subject teacher, the students eagerly performed each task, applying the knowledge and skills they learned in class. The activity provided them with a hands-on learning experience while developing their confidence, creativity, and practical skills in food preparation.

The students enjoyed the performance task and showed enthusiasm in learning through actual food preparation activities.

Grade 12 FCS Students Showcase Baking Skills

The Grade 12 Food and Consumer Services (FCS) students of West Palale National High School showcased their baking skills through a performance task in their Baking Operation subject. The students prepared chiffon cake and cupcakes, applying proper baking techniques, accurate measurements, and food safety practices.

Guided by their teacher, Ma’am Shiela Reyes, the students demonstrated their creativity, teamwork, and practical skills in producing quality baked products. The activity provided them with valuable hands-on experience and strengthened their confidence in the field of baking and culinary arts.

West Palale NHS Joins the 128th Araw ng Tayabas Celebration

TAYABAS CITY, QUEZON — August 13, 2026. West Palale National High School (WPNHS) actively participated in the Ika-128 Taon ng Araw ng Tayabas – Araw ng Kalayaan ng Lalawigan ng Quezon, also known as Trese de Agosto, held on August 13, 2026.

The school’s Maritime and SSP students proudly joined the grand parade. Some Maritime and SSP learners served as escorts for the distinguished guests and dignitaries, including the different municipal mayors of Quezon Province. Other students proudly carried the flags representing the municipalities in attendance, showcasing unity, pride, and respect for the province’s rich history and heritage.

The WPNHS delegation was led by **School Principal IV Dr. Joy B. Go and Senior High School Coordinator Reymart Villapena, together with the different School Heads representing the Schools Division Office of Tayabas City.

Also present was Jaymar Pagana, who participated in the celebration alongside the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) students of WPNHS.

Through the active participation of its learners and school personnel, West Palale National High School continues to promote patriotism, discipline, leadership, and pride in the history and culture of Quezon Province.
