𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀!

Today marked a significant step forward in enhancing the hotel management capabilities of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students of SLSU Tayabas Campus through the ACOR PMS Hotel System Training, organized and delivered by Axus Software. The training was made possible through the generosity of Axus Software, under the leadership of its President/CEO, Mr. Eugene P. Aguajar Jr., who provided a one-semester free subscription to the system. This initiative reflects the company’s
commitment to supporting future hospitality professionals in adopting modern, efficient, and user-friendly technology solutions.

Guiding the participants throughout the session was the dedicated trainer, Mr. Mark Angelo Beldad, whose expertise and clear instruction helped attendees navigate the system with ease. His hands-on approach ensured that everyone could engage actively, ask questions, and apply the lessons learned in real-world scenarios. The session was designed to introduce both faculty and students to the features and functionalities of the ACOR Property Management System, ensuring that participants gained practical knowledge and confidence in using the platform.

The activity was coordinated by Ms. Nichole Ann A. Lago, Program Chairperson of the BSHM Department, and was attended by the BSHM Faculty, selected HALSE Society Officers, and 2nd-year BSHM students. The training prepared students for hands-on learning in reservation management, front office operations, housekeeping coordination, cashiering processes, night audit reporting, guest cycle management, check-in procedures, billing transactions, and checkout processes.

This marks the first introduction of the ACOR PMS system at SLSU Tayabas, representing a milestone for the BSHM program. Beyond equipping students with modern tools, this initiative also opens the door to a possible industry partnership between Axus Software and the SLSU Tayabas BSHM Department, strengthening the connection between academic instruction and industry practice. Such collaboration promises to enhance student learning, provide access to cutting-edge technology, and prepare graduates to meet the evolving demands of the hospitality sector.

Importantly, the ACOR PMS Software can now be utilized by students during their laboratory classes in HPC04: Applied Business Tools and Technologies, providing them with direct exposure to industry-standard systems. The department also plans to continue availing the subscription in the coming years, ensuring the sustained integration of this technology into the curriculum.
