"Nurturing the Hearts Behind the Minds"
AUGUST SLAC SESSION
Teaching is a work of heart, but even the most dedicated educators need time to refuel. Today, August 13, 2026, our school family gathered for a deeply meaningful School-Based Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session focused on Burnout Prevention and Managing Emotional Labor.
A huge thank you to Ma’am Lynssel Mae Aureada (Teacher I), Ma’am Karina Manalo Genton (Teacher I), and Ma’am Shirley Mendoza-Talisayon (Teacher I) for spearheading this essential wellness initiative!
In the world of education, emotional labor is real. Today served as a gentle reminder that we cannot pour from an empty cup. Prioritizing the mental health and well-being of our teachers isn't just self-care—it’s vital for sustaining the passion, energy, and love we bring to our classrooms every day.
Here’s to choosing self-compassion, supporting one another, and keeping our mental well-being a top priority! 🧠
