🌱 SOFACOFA Feeding Beneficiaries Parents' Orientation Successfully Conducted! 🍽️📚

Lakawan Elementary School successfully conducted the SOFACOFA Feeding Beneficiaries Parents' Orientation in support of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) on August 6, 2026, bringing together parents, stakeholders, and partners in a shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of our learners.

The activity was successfully spearheaded through the leadership of Dr. Larvin O. Labrada, School Principal I, in collaboration with Ms. Anna Liza Llegado Flores, SOFACOFA Representative, whose unwavering support and dedication made this initiative possible. The orientation provided parents with valuable information on the objectives, implementation, and shared responsibilities under the feeding program, emphasizing the vital role of family and community participation in ensuring the success of every beneficiary.

This meaningful partnership between Lakawan Elementary School and SOFACOFA reflects our collective commitment to nurturing healthier, happier, and more productive learners. Together, we continue to strengthen our advocacy that no child should learn on an empty stomach and that every learner deserves the opportunity to thrive through proper nutrition and quality education.

Lakawan Elementary School proudly celebrated Nutrition Month 2026 with the theme "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat! Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan."

Through a series of meaningful and enjoyable activities including nutrition-themed contests, the Pinggang Pinoy Expo, handwashing and toothbrushing demonstration, healthy food showcase, and the awarding of winners ,our learners gained valuable knowledge and developed healthy habits while showcasing their creativity and talents.

This successful month-long celebration was made possible through the unwavering support and collaboration of our School Principal Doc. Larvin O. Labrada ,dedicated teachers, learners and parents. Together, we continue to promote proper nutrition, food security, environmental awareness, and healthy living among our young learners.

Lakawan Elementary School officially launched its Learning Buddies Program, an initiative designed to support younger learners who are at risk in reading. The program aims to improve learners’ reading skills through peer-assisted learning, where members of the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) and selected With Honors students serve as volunteer reading buddies.
