🦠 WHAT IS LEPTOSPIROSIS?
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection caused by Leptospira bacteria. It affects both humans and animals and is commonly spread through water contaminated with the urine of infected animals—especially rodents like rats.

🌊 HOW DOES IT SPREAD?
• Drinking or eating contaminated food or water
• Walking through floodwaters or dirty water
• Contact of infected urine with open cuts or wounds
• Infected urine entering the eyes, nose, or mouth

🚨 SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS TO WATCH FOR:
• High fever
• Headache and muscle pain
• Red eyes
• Vomiting or diarrhea

⚠️ WHO’S AT RISK?
• People living in flood-prone areas
• Those frequently exposed to dirty/stagnant water
• Workers in high-risk jobs (e.g., farmers, garbage collectors, sewer workers)
• Individuals with poor access to clean water and sanitation
• Anyone with open wounds exposed to contaminated water

🛡️ HOW TO PREVENT LEPTOSPIROSIS:
• Avoid walking in floodwater
• Wear protective boots and gloves
• Boil drinking water if the source is uncertain
• Properly store and cover food
• Maintain cleanliness and control rodent populations

🏥 WHEN TO SEEK HELP:
If you experience flu-like symptoms after exposure to dirty water or animals, seek medical help right away. Early treatment with antibiotics is crucial to prevent severe complications.

😷 MPOX (Monkeypox) is more than just a health term—it’s a real threat that we all need to take seriously.
It’s a contagious disease that can affect anyone—yes, kahit ikaw, ako, tayo.

💥 Symptoms to watch out for: • Fever 🤒
• Skin rashes and lesions 🩹
• Chills, headaches, and muscle pain 🤕
• Swollen lymph nodes

📌 How does it spread? • Close skin-to-skin contact
• Sharing of personal items (like towels or utensils)
• Respiratory droplets from close interaction

🛑 MPOX has no respect for age or place.
That’s why we at TNHS must stay aware, alert, and united.

🧼 What YOU can do: ✔️ Wash your hands frequently
✔️ Avoid close contact with those showing symptoms
✔️ Do not share personal belongings
✔️ Stay informed through trusted sources like the DOH or your TNHS health officers

GOODDAYYY TNHSIANS ! TEAM ALERT IS HERE! 🚨⚠️

Handwashing and toothbrushing, is vital for fostering a healthy learning environment and promoting students' overall well-being. Hygiene in schools extends beyond mere cleanliness; it creates an environment that supports students' physical health, motivation, and academic success.
Schools play a crucial role in establishing good hygiene habits, such as regular handwashing ( 🤲🏻💧 ) and toothbrushing ( 🪥🦷 ). Integrating hygiene lessons into the curriculum and building time into daily routines for handwashing can reintorce the importance of keeping 🤲🏻 clean.
Several factors can affect students' hygiene practices, including inadequate sanitation facilities, lack of access to clean water, and insufficient hygiene education. To address these challenges, we the TEAM ALERT organization will help and share our knowledge to every students in TARLAC NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL so that we will achieve the cleanliness and better environment in our school.
