DIVISION MEMORANDUM NO. 124s 2026

Simultaneous End of School Year (EOSY) Recollection, Reflection and Retreat
Theme: Grateful Hearts, Noble Character: Ending the School Year with Purpose

On March 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM, the school community gathered for the Simultaneous End of School Year (EOSY) Recollection and Reflection Retreat, a meaningful Values Education activity designed to help students pause, reflect, and express gratitude as the academic year came to a close. Anchored on the theme “Grateful Hearts, Noble Character: Ending the School Year with Purpose,” the event fostered an atmosphere of introspection, appreciation, and renewed commitment to personal growth.

The program formally began with the warm and engaging facilitation of the emcee, Ma’am Ruvy Ann Claus, who set a reflective tone for the activity. This was followed by an opening prayer led by Ma’am Josephine Rivera, inviting everyone into a moment of stillness and spiritual connection.

In her Welcome Remarks, Ma’am Eloisa Beltran, ESP Coordinator, emphasized the importance of gratitude and values formation in shaping students’ character. She encouraged everyone to take this opportunity to look back on their journey throughout the year, recognizing both achievements and challenges as essential parts of growth.

The highlight of the retreat was the inspiring message delivered by the speaker, Sir Christian G. Gamboa. He spoke about the significance of living with purpose, nurturing a grateful heart, and embodying noble character in everyday life. His talk resonated deeply with the students, reminding them that success is not only measured by academic performance but also by the values they uphold.

A special part of the program was the reflection activity, where students were given time to silently contemplate their experiences, lessons learned, and the people who guided them throughout the year. In a touching moment, students were invited to approach their teachers and express their gratitude through simple gestures such as hugs and heartfelt words. This created an emotional and sincere atmosphere, strengthening the bond between students and teachers.

The awarding of the Certificate of Appreciation to the speaker was led by an Outstanding and hardworking School Principal II, Dr. Raquel G. Bautista, together with Ma’am Eloisa Beltran and all the dedicated Teaching Staff in the afternoon session, in recognition of his valuable contribution to the success of the activity.

The program concluded with the Closing Remarks delivered by Sir Nereo H. Tagubuan, Faculty President, who expressed his appreciation to everyone who made the event possible. He reminded the students to carry forward the values they have learned and to continue striving to become individuals of integrity and purpose.

Overall, the activity had a profound impact on the participants. It provided students with a meaningful space to reflect, reconnect, and appreciate the people around them. The experience nurtured a deeper sense of gratitude, strengthened relationships within the school community, and inspired students to end the school year with a renewed sense of direction and purpose.
