BoSY Assessment

BOSY assessment involves foundational diagnostic tests—such as the Phil-IRI and Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA)—used to profile learners, establish baseline data, and identify students who need remedial interventions like the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) program.

The assessment generally scheduled the testing window during the "Opening Block" or the first few weeks of classes. Teachers administered these tools to evaluate reading profiles, foundational skills, and numeracy from g7-g12.

Baseline Nutritional Status ✅

The Department of Education (DepEd) measures student nutritional status primarily using Body Mass Index (BMI)-for-age and Height-for-Age. Schools record, consolidate, and track this vital data at the start and end of each academic year using School Form 8 (SF8) Learner Basic Health and Nutrition Report.

Students identified as wasted or severely wasted are prioritized for the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP), which helps mitigate undernutrition and improve school retention.
