Tibag High School Covered area, March 11, 2026 โ The Tibag High School ARAL teacher-tutors and learners gathered at the covered area on Wednesday morning for the culminating activity of the ARAL Reading Program entitled โ๐ฐ๐๐ฐ๐ป ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐: ๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐ข ๐ฟ๐๐๐.โ ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ โ๐ฑ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐๐๐ข. ๐ฑ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐ข,โ. The event celebrated the progress and achievements of students who participated in the schoolโs reading intervention program.
The program formally started at 10:00 AM with a solemn prayer followed by a nationalistic song, both presented through an audio-visual presentation (AVP). These opening segments set a reflective and patriotic tone for the event.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Ana Marie DC. Mercado, Head Teacher I, welcomed the students, teachers, and guests. She highlighted the importance of strengthening literacy skills among learners and commended the collective efforts of the teachers and tutors who guided the students throughout the ARAL program.
An inspirational message was delivered by Dr. May A. Avelino, School Head, who emphasized that reading is a foundational skill that opens doors to lifelong learning and success. She encouraged the learners to continue practicing their reading skills and to view every book as an opportunity to grow and discover new ideas.
Although the SPTA President, Hon. Jovelyn Navarro, was scheduled to deliver the Message of Partnership, she was unable to attend the event. Nevertheless, the school acknowledged the continuing support of parents and the community in strengthening the reading initiatives of the school.
The program proper featured engaging activities showcasing the reading skills of ARAL learners. An interactive activity titled โ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ผ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ฉ,โ where ARAL learners and tutors worked together to identify and collect words, making the learning process both collaborative and exciting.
Another highlight of the program was โ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐ช๐ฃ!โ under ARAL Plus, presented by Norjelyn Ordonio Bondoc, a Grade 10 student from Fronda. Her presentation reflected improved reading confidence and comprehension skills gained through the program.
Learners also participated in โ๐๐๐ ๐๐ค๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ โ ๐
๐ช๐ข๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐จ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ,โ a dynamic activity where ARAL learners and tutors solved word puzzles by rearranging letters to form meaningful words. The activity strengthened vocabulary development while maintaining a fun and engaging learning environment.
One of the most anticipated parts of the event was the ๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ฉ ๐พ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐ฎ, where students who achieved grade-level reading competency were formally recognized as ARAL Exiters. Their achievement marked a significant milestone, reflecting their dedication and the guidance provided by their tutors.
An audio-visual presentation highlighting the ARAL Program Implementation for School Year 2025โ2026 was also shown. The AVP showcased the different activities, interventions, and collaborative efforts that contributed to the programโs success throughout the school year.
To conclude the program, the closing remarks were delivered by Maโam Clariza Mae Guiang, Head Teacher III, on behalf of Mr. Edsel L. Natividad. In her message, she congratulated the learners for their perseverance and thanked the teachers, tutors, and stakeholders for their unwavering support in making the ARAL Reading Program a meaningful and impactful initiative.

Tibag High School successfully conducted a School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Meeting held on February 5, 2026. It aimed to update parents and guardians on the schoolโs recent accomplishments and ongoing initiatives prior to the distribution of Third Quarter Report Cards. During the event, the schoolโunder the leadership of School Head Maโam May A. Avelinoโalso received four tables to further support ARAL learners, providing a more conducive and organized space for their reading intervention sessions.

The Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program marked a significant milestone with its Achievement Rites held on January 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Tibag High School. The event, themed โMatatag at Masayaโ, celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and academic growth of ARAL tutees, recognizing their accomplishments and the support of tutors and stakeholders who made the program successful.
The program began with the preliminaries, featuring a prayer and the singing of a nationalistic song, setting a respectful and inspiring tone for the celebration. School Head May A. Avelino delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan in the effective implementation of the ARAL Program. Her message highlighted how collaboration among teachers, tutors, and learners plays a crucial role in achieving academic success.
Following this, Maโam Ana Marie DC. Mercado, Head Teacher I, delivered an inspirational message to the tutees. She encouraged them to complete the ARAL Program with determination and a clear goal of attaining grade-level competence. Her words served as motivation for the learners to continue applying the skills and strategies they have acquired through the program. This was followed by a discussion of the ARAL Pre-Implementation and Implementation Phase, presented by Lynneth Mariz L. Catalan, which provided insights into the programโs structure and objectives, highlighting how each phase contributed to the academic development of the tutees.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of ARAL exiters, with six tutees formally acknowledged for achieving grade-level competence in reading. The program also honored the efforts of the ARAL tutors and stakeholders through the award of Certificates of Appreciation, acknowledging their dedication and support. To reinforce the commitment to growth and continuous learning, Karl Daniel Dizon, an ARAL exiter led the Moving Forward Pledge with his co-ARAL exiters. Norjelyn Bondoc, an ARAL tutee led her remaining co-ARAL tutees to the Moving pledge as well.
Lastly, Maโam Mary Ann De Juan delivered the Recommitment Pledge, inspiring both learners and tutors to sustain their efforts in education. The event concluded with closing remarks by Sir Edsel Natividad, Master Teacher II, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for their continuous contributions to the success of the ARAL Program.
The ARAL Achievement Rites successfully celebrated the accomplishments of the learners while reinforcing the values of perseverance, unity, and academic responsibility. โOn December 12, 2025, the THS Principalโs Office served as a hub of learning and inspiration during the 4th Collaborative Expertise Session for the dedicated ARAL Tutors.
โThe session focused on addressing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the program. This discussion was led by the ARAL Reading Coordinator, Maโam Lynneth Mariz L. Catalan, under the expert guidance of Dr. Ana Marie Mercado, Head Teacher in English.
โThe participants also received an uplifting message from the THS Principal, Dr. May Avelino. She commended the unwavering commitment of the tutors and encouraged them to persevere in their mission to uplift the students. Dr. Avelino specifically highlighted the impressive dedication the tutors have shown throughout the implementation of the ARAL Program.

Tibag High School conducted the 3rd Collaborative Expertise on ARAL Reading convened on December 2, 2025, at the Principalโs Office to strengthen the schoolโs efforts in improving learnersโ reading skills. The meeting brought together teachers to review the current implementation of the program and discuss ways to enhance support for non decoding and non comprehending readers.
The agenda focused on key areas that affect the progress of ARAL learners. Updates on the conduct of reading sessions were presented, followed by concerns about student absenteeism and its impact on their improvement. The reading coordinator, Ma'am Lynneth Mariz Catalan, reechoed the shared practical suggestions from the division-based seminar and workshop titled ARAL READING ON THE GO: Workshop on the Development of Check-In and Digitized Assessment cm Mid-Year Evaluation and Presentation of Guidelines on Literacy Hubs, such as communicating more closely with parents and holding grade-level deliberations to better understand each studentโs standing in class. In addition, the group discussed the conduct of the upcoming Check-In Assessment for the Mid-Year Reading Assessment, as well as the use of the Division Progress Report and the Individualized Reading Intervention Plan (IRIP) to guide targeted interventions weekly. The meeting also clarified the exit condition for learners, emphasizing the need to sustain grade-level fluency.
Overall, the collaborative session served as an important opportunity to reflect on current practices and strengthen coordinated efforts for the ARAL Reading Program. By addressing challenges, aligning assessment plans, and ensuring clear expectations, the team reaffirmed its commitment to helping every learner build the reading skills needed for success.
