Last February 16, 2026, right after the flag-raising ceremony, Jose V. Yap National High School joyfully marked the celebration of ๐“’๐“ฑ๐“ฒ๐“ท๐“ฎ๐“ผ๐“ฎ ๐“๐“ฎ๐”€ ๐“จ๐“ฎ๐“ช๐“ป with a vibrant program initiated by the Local Chinese Mandarin Teachers together with Mam Aiza Cayanan, HTIII -English. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Lawrence M. Santiago, OIC -School Head along with the enthusiastic support of the entire school community, who came together to witness and participate in the festivities.

SPFL Classrooms were beautifully transformed into a Chinese-inspired ambiance, adorned with traditional decorations that set the tone for cultural appreciation. Learners showcased their Chinese minority attires, adding color and authenticity to the occasion, while the lively Lion dancing brought energy and excitement to the crowd.

Beyond the performances and displays, the celebration carried a deeper essenceโ€”promoting cultural understanding, unity, and the values of the Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) community.

The celebration highlighted the schoolโ€™s commitment to fostering global awareness and respect for diversity, making the Chinese New Year not just a festive gathering but a meaningful educational experience for everyone.
