In the world of children, life is a series of blank pages waiting for the beautiful but sometimes chaotic collision of crayons and imagination. To the untrained eye, it is just play; to Dr. Jerahmeel R. Aquino, it is the making of an architect, a painter, or a designer.
A proud graduate of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Dr. Aquino understands that before a child can sculpt a form, they must learn to mold the clay. His own foundation was poured in the classrooms of the College of Education (CEd), where he earned his Bachelor of Elementary Education major in PreSchool Education (BEEd-PSEd) in 2014.

๐โจ Bringing Learning Closer: Books and Materials for Every Child | January 26, 2026 โจ๐
The activity Bringing Learning Closer: Books and Materials for Every Child was successfully conducted at the Child Development Center, Poblacion West, Santa Ignacia, Tarlac. The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Rene G. Nanit, BECEd Chairperson, Ms. Maila Suzette Guting, faculty member, and Society of Early Childhood Educators (SEED) with the shared goal of strengthening early childhood education through improved access to learning resources.
Through this activity, age-appropriate childrenโs books and instructional materials were distributed to young learners, supporting early literacy development and enhancing classroom instruction. The enthusiasm and joy shown by the children highlighted the impact of bringing quality educational materials directly to the community.
This effort reflects the proponentsโ commitment to making learning more accessible and meaningful, especially during the formative years of childhood. Together, we continue to bring learning closerโone child, one book, and one community at a time. ๐๐
Special thanks are extended to the BECEd 3 students, who served as Instructional Materials (IM) Developers, and to our generous benefactorsโDr. Arlene V. Tomas, Ms. Gracelle P. Hilario, and Dr. Jeffrey John R. Yasayโfor their invaluable support and contributions that made this activity possible.

Strengthening Teaching Effectiveness through Faculty Mentoring
Mentoring sessions were conducted by the Chairperson, Dr. Rene G. Nanit, with junior faculty members Ms. Rosalie Jane Manabat and Mrs. Louise Angela Villanueva. The mentoring activity was based on the results of the Teaching Effectiveness Evaluation, which served as the primary reference in identifying areas for improvement and professional growth. During the session, Dr. Nanit discussed the evaluation findings with the mentees and provided targeted guidance on enhancing teaching strategies, classroom management, and instructional planning. The mentoring also emphasized reflective teaching practices, continuous improvement, and alignment with departmental and institutional standards. The session provided a supportive environment for constructive feedback, professional reflection, and the strengthening of instructional competence among the junior faculty members.
