San Juan de Moriones Elementary School Conducts Gender and Development Training 2026

In line with its commitment to promote gender equality, inclusivity, and a safe learning environment, San Juan de Moriones Elementary School successfully conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Training 2026 for teachers on May 14–15, 2026 at the SJDMES Office.

The two-day training gathered teaching personnel of the school to strengthen awareness and understanding of Gender and Development principles, gender sensitivity, and inclusive practices in education. The activity aimed to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster a respectful, fair, and gender-responsive learning environment for all learners.

Various topics were discussed during the Day 1 training, including:
1. Safe spaces Act and Establishing Safe Workplaces - Nannette Ventura Belwa & Ma'am Lorena Bautista Limbania
2. Breaking the Silence Empowering Women to Speak Up - Sir Loreto Capitli Morales & Ma'am Glaiza L. Castro
3. Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Awsreness & Prevention in the Workplace - Edward S. Cabuslay

Interactive discussions and collaborative activities encouraged active participation among teachers.

The training also highlighted the role of educators as advocates of equality and agents of positive change within the school and the community. Through this initiative, San Juan de Moriones Elementary School continues to uphold its mission of delivering quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

San Juan de Moriones Elementary School Launches Enrollment, Oplan Balik Eskwela, and Brigada Eskwela 2026

San Juan de Moriones Elementary School officially opens its doors for the School Year 2026–2027 through the launching of Enrollment, Oplan Balik Eskwela, and Brigada Eskwela 2026. The school warmly welcomes parents, learners, stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners to participate in the series of activities prepared to ensure a safe, organized, and meaningful opening of classes.

The enrollment schedule for Kindergarten to Grade 3 learners will be conducted on May 11–14, 2026, while enrollment for Grades 4–6, Balik-Aral learners, transferees, and ALS learners will take place on May 18–21, 2026. These activities aim to provide accessible and smooth enrollment procedures for all incoming learners.

As part of the preparation for the opening of classes, the school will also conduct Oplan Balik Eskwela 2026 from May 25–29, 2026. This initiative focuses on addressing school-related concerns and ensuring readiness for the incoming school year.

The Nationwide Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Program will officially begin on June 1, 2026, followed by the week-long Brigada Eskwela activities from June 1–6, 2026. Teachers, parents, alumni, local officials, and volunteers are encouraged to join the spirit of bayanihan by helping clean, repair, and prepare classrooms and school facilities for learners.

In addition, a Parents and Teachers Orientation will be held on June 2, 2026, to discuss important school policies, programs, and preparations for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026.

Through the collective efforts and cooperation of the school and the community, San Juan de Moriones Elementary School continues to uphold its commitment to providing a clean, safe, inclusive, and learner-friendly environment for all learners.

With the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the school hopes to strengthen community partnership and shared responsibility in promoting quality education for every child.

The Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program 2026 is a 20-day intensive, research-based, and voluntary summer tutorial program (May 6 – June 2, 2026) by the Department of Education (DepEd) to address literacy and numeracy gaps for Grades 1–10 learners.

📌Schedule & Implementation: Runs from May 6 to June 2, 2026, targeting Monday to Thursday sessions, with Friday reserved for home-based activities.

Fire Prevention Drill and Feeding Program Conducted with Support from the Mayor

San Juan de Moriones Elementary School successfully conducted a Fire Prevention Drill last March 10, 2026 in coordination with BFP San Jose, highlighting the importance of safety and preparedness among learners and school personnel. The activity aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively in case of fire emergencies.

The drill included an orientation on fire safety, proper evacuation procedures, and the demonstration of basic firefighting techniques. Learners actively participated in the simulation, practicing orderly evacuation and following safety protocols under the guidance of teachers and emergency responders.

In addition to the drill, a Feeding Program sponsored by the Municipal Mayor Romeo Ong Capitulo was held to support the nutritional needs of the learners. The initiative brought joy and excitement as students were provided with nutritious meals, promoting both their health and well-being.
School officials expressed their gratitude to the Mayor and the local government unit for their continued support in ensuring both the safety and welfare of the school community. The combined activity not only strengthened disaster preparedness but also fostered a spirit of care and cooperation among all stakeholders.
