Called to Lead Well. ❤️
This retreat reminded me of something deeply important: our youth need us—not only to teach them, but to guide them, listen to them, and walk with them.
We hear so much about violence, bullying, and other challenges happening in our schools and communities. It sometimes feels like a pandemic—something spreading from one person to another. The difference is, during the pandemic, we had a vaccine. But for what our young people are facing today, perhaps the “vaccine” is the presence of adults who care, educators who guide, and parents who listen.
As educators, what are we supposed to do? We cannot solve everything overnight, but we can choose to be part of the solution.
I am truly grateful that Ma’am Jenny and I had the opportunity to attend the “Called to Lead Well” Retreat. I pray that what we learned will not simply stay with us. May it echo through our co-educators, reach our parents, and most importantly, touch the lives of our students.
I know this will not be an easy journey. There will be challenges, but I am certain that I am not alone. Together, with my co-educators—and to my dear friends and churchmates- we can make a difference—one student, one family, and one community at a time.
May we continue to hold on to the words of our national hero, Dr. José Rizal:
“Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.”
May God continue to equip us to lead well, love deeply, and guide our youth toward a better future. 🙏❤️
