MCES pupils, SPG & YES-O Officers actively participated in the City Environment and Natural Resources Office's (CENRO) seminar on RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management ACT of 2000, held earlier at Maliwalo Central Elementary School, spearheaded by our DRRM and ESWM School Focal Person, Sir Zaldy Perez.

This seminar aims to make learners aware of our environmental and ecological issues, especially regarding our city. The main goal is to become agents of change in our society and be role models who will find a permanent solution to achieve our goal of having Tarlac City's land, air, and water clean. 🍃

Nature Talks Episode 1 🍃🤩

The YES-O officers of Maliwalo Central Elementary School launches their first episode of Nature Talks Program this morning, February 27, 2023, during the Morning Flag Ceremony.

John Timothy I. Garcia, the YES-O Division Federated President and Glyceryl S. Alfornon, the School’s YES-O Vice President talked about updates and reminders regarding the different ongoing programs and campaigns such as the Collecting of Used Plastic (CUP) Campaign and the School Clean-Up Drive as well as future projects of the YES-Organization.

“Nature Talks” is a 10 minute talk with students that aims to spread awareness about environmental issues and concerns to learners of Maliwalo Central Elementary School. In this way, learners can learn new things about the environment, discover ways on how to love and protect nature, and become an instrument of change and help Mother Earth. 🌱

"Great leaders don't tell you what to do, they show you how it's done."

Last September 23, 2022, our very own MCES Yes-O President was asked when he thought he made a positive influence on another student. He proudly answered that good leadership happens when a leader becomes a role model and sets an example to his schoolmates. Indeed, he is now setting an example to each student to be the best they can be in every task they are given! Truly, we are very proud!

On behalf of Maliwalo Central Elementary School, we would like to congratulate our very own JOHN TIMOTHY I. GARCIA of Grade 6 - SSES for being elected as the DIVISION FEDERATED YOUTH FOR ENVIRONMENT IN SCHOOLS ORGANIZATION (YES-O) PRESIDENT for S.Y. 2022 - 2023.

Congratulations, Timothy! 🥳✨We are very proud of you! 🥰
