This past Saturday, June 13 โ€” early in the morning โ€” Sapang Maragul Integrated School (SMIS) Youth Organization, school administrators, supportive parents, together with Principal Maโ€™am Ma. Heidi F. Adi, gathered for an environmental service activity to clean and improve our school grounds.

A school is a place for learning โ€” but without proper cleanliness and orderliness, it can pose risks to the health and safety of every learner. Project LIKAS aims to promote discipline, care, and collective action to maintain a safe, green, and healthy environment within our school and community. Through small but united efforts, we help build a space where every student can study, grow, and dream freely โ€” paving the way toward a brighter and better future for all.

Ngayong ika-128 taon ng Araw ng Kalayaan, ating ginugunita ang kagitingan, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga Pilipinong nagbuwis ng buhay upang makamit ang kalayaan na ating tinatamasa ngayon.

Nawaโ€™y maging inspirasyon sa bawat isa ang kanilang katapangan upang patuloy nating pangalagaan ang ating bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa, paggalang, at malasakit sa kapwa.

Today, our learners actively participated in the Morning Toothbrushing and Handwashing Activity, beginning their day with clean habits and bright smiles.

First day of school always feels like stepping into a whole new worldโ€”bright, buzzing, and full of fresh possibilities. As I walked through the school gates, the air hummed with excitement and nervous energy; students laughed and greeted friends they hadnโ€™t seen in months, while others wandered wide-eyed, looking for their classrooms.

The hallways smelled faintly of floor wax and new notebooks, and every face seemed to hold a mix of anticipation and jitters. When I finally found my seat, I looked around at unfamiliar faces, wondering who would become my closest friends and what adventures this school year would bring.

By the time the bell rang to start our first lesson, my nervousness had melted away, replaced by a warm, hopeful feelingโ€”ready to learn, grow, and make wonderful new memories.
