Ang assessment ng Developmental Pediatrician or Child Psychologist is usually focused on:
• diagnosis
• developmental profile
• cognitive and behavioral concerns
• identifying possible conditions like Autism, ADHD, delays, etc.
• recommendations for support and intervention
Very important ito because it gives clarity and direction.
Pero ang assessment sa therapy…
iba naman ang goal.
Ang focus nito ay:
“What’s the best way para matututo ang batang ito?”
Because not all children learn the same way.
Sa therapy assessment, tinitingnan:
• anong teaching approach ang effective
• ano ang motivation ng bata
• ano ang strengths niya
• ano ang challenges niya
• paano siya magrespond sa instructions
• paano siya natututo at nakikipag-interact
Because the goal is not just to understand the child—
but to create a program that fits the child.
Individualized.
Targeted.
More effective.
Because therapy should not be “pare-pareho lang.”
The program should fit the child… not the other way around.

Kamusta?
Sana ang linggo niyo ay less sa drama, less sa stress, at mas marami ang chill moments at iced coffee. ✨
Lahat tayo ay may kani-kanilang pinagdadaanan ngayong linggo, kaya bago tuluyang matapos ang araw, we just want to check on you.
At the same time, don't forget to check on your loved ones. You might be the one text, call, or "kamusta" they need to get through a heavy day.

Different timelines are not "failures." 💙
Global Developmental Delay (GDD) is simply a unique path of growth, not a problem to be hidden. By letting go of myths—like the idea that it's a permanent limitation or a result of parenting—we create space for true support.
At SMLC, we bridge the gap between "delay" and "milestone" through result-oriented intervention. Let’s celebrate every unique step forward together!

"Masaya kami ng asawa ko... Thank God at may bagong natutunan ang anak namin." 😭💙
There is no greater reward for us at SMLC than seeing parents smile with relief and pride. Today, we are sharing this touching testimonial from our Olongapo Branch!
Through the loving patience of Teacher Oden, Dondon has completely transformed his routine. He no longer cries during therapy—he looks forward to it! His patience has grown so much that family outings are now peaceful and tantrum-free. From learning his animals and shapes to speaking his first words, every milestone is a family victory.
Thank you, Mommy and Daddy, for letting SMLC be a part of your home’s happiness. We are dedicated to walking this path with you every step of the way.

Love is the invisible thread that makes a house feel like home. 🤍
Unity doesn't mean we are all the same; it means we choose to stay connected despite our differences. This week, let’s prioritize the bonds that turn a group of individuals into a sanctuary.
How can you choose unity in your daily interactions today?

Sa Philippines, may mga parents na naghihintay ng:
6 months to 1 year sa private
at umaabot pa ng 2 years sa public.
At habang naghihintay…
lumilipas din ang oras ng anak mo.
Tandaan mo ‘to:
Ang pera para sa assessment… pwede pang kitain ulit.
Pero ang oras?
Hindi na maibabalik.
Especially during the early years of a child, where studies consistently show that early intervention leads to better outcomes in communication, learning, behavior, and adaptive skills.
Mas maaga ang tamang guidance… mas maaga ring makakatulong.
Kaya dahil dito…
we are opening slots for
Neurodevelopmental Assessment.
Ano ang makukuha mo?
• Comprehensive assessment of cognitive functioning
• Behavioral and social assessment
• Academic and adaptive functioning assessment
• Clear explanation of findings
• Guidance on what steps to take next
Because we believe this:
Acceptance is important.
But acceptance becomes healthier when there is understanding.
Hindi lang diagnosis ang kailangan ng magulang.
Kailangan din ng clarity, guidance, at direction.
📍Assessment will be conducted at our Main Office in Fairview.

Different generations, same mission. 🤝✨
We might use different words, but the heart is the same. No matter the generational vibe, we’re all here for the same reason: to provide quality care for our kids and families. Happy Friday!

Support is a journey, not a label. 💙
While every child develops at their own pace, understanding the severity of a delay helps us provide the right level of support at the right time. Whether a delay is mild or severe, SMLC is here to turn these challenges into milestones.
Our result-oriented intervention is tailored to meet your child exactly where they are—providing the tools they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
Let’s bridge the gap together!
