Sweet smiles turned to a confusing frown
Caring gestures turned to a dreadful drown
Kings no longer wear their crown
Colorful lives turned to a plain dark brown

We have analyzed the questions in our test
Have they analyzed we could be the best?
While half of the world take a rest
We still show an incomparable zest

We are almost done recording
Have they realized that we are still living?
While half of the world are sitting
We kept going, doing, working

We have identified who did well and failed
Have they thought we have been dismayed?
While half of the world in their beds are nailed
We are left in the darkness feeling scared

But because we embraced this kind of life
We cannot show a dire strife
While half of the world hear our cries
All we can show are deep sincere sighs

But our dreams won’t be crashed
Like a crumpled paper turned trash
While half of the world mocks our souls
We firmly hold to our goals

We continue to teach because it is touching
We continue to touch because it is caring
We continue to care because it is loving
We continue to love because it is everything

When we love what we do
It won’t make us feel blue
Someday, that half of the world will tell you
“Teacher, how to be you?”

What do you do when God is not answering your prayer?

When we choose to follow Christ, we won’t necessarily be popular. Our highest calling is not self-promotion or self-preservation. A hero jumps into deep water to save someone who is drowning, but that same person could well lose his or her life (to quote Jesus) in the process of seeking to save someone else. Jesus indicated that even family members (normally our closest natural connection) may be squared off against us. While others may become our obstinate opponents because of Christ, we are obligated to show unselfishness because of Him (Phil. 2:3–5). “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (1:21). It’s a profound paradox. To lose our life for Him means to find it. Has there been a time when the choice to follow Christ has cost you?

The Best Day Of My Life

Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever! There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did I’m going to celebrate!
Today, I’m going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my head held high, and a happy heart. I will marvel at God’s seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds. Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.

Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I’ll make someone smile. I’ll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don’t even know.

Today, I’ll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I’ll tell a child how special he is, and I’ll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for her and how much she means to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don’t have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me.

I’ll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.

And tonight, before I go to bed, I’ll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!
