All Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) employees and students who were exposed to floodwater are advised to report to the University Clinic upon their return to the University for the administration of doxycycline, as prescribed and ordered by the University Physician, until supplies last.

In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 129 issued by the Office of the President through Acting Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) shall implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on August 19, 2026, following the directive covering the Province of Tarlac.

Under the Memorandum Circular, government offices in the affected areas are directed to adopt appropriate alternative work arrangements. Agencies responsible for the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of necessary services. For the private sector, the suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements shall remain at the discretion of management.

In line with University Bulletin No. 170-2026, the scheduled Midterm Examinations affected by the shift to alternative learning modes on August 19 shall be administered next week, following the faculty member’s regular class schedule and in coordination with the concerned class. Faculty members are advised to communicate the revised examination schedule to their respective students and ensure that the examinations are properly administered within the agreed schedule.

Employees whose duties cannot be performed through a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement shall observe the applicable provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 129 and existing University policies.

All concerned members of the TAU community are advised to remain guided by the official directives and coordinate with their respective offices, supervisors, faculty members, and classes to ensure the continuity of university operations and academic activities.

In line with Memorandum Circular No. 128 issued by the Office of the President, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) announces the implementation of a work-from-home (WFH) arrangement for employees and the shift to alternative learning modes on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The directive, issued upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), covers Tarlac among the areas where these precautionary measures shall be implemented to ensure the safety of government employees, students, faculty members, and other members of the academic community.

Accordingly, on-site work at TAU shall shift to alternative work arrangements on August 18, 2026, and employees whose functions can be performed remotely shall observe a WFH arrangement. Immediate supervisors shall monitor work accomplished under the arrangement, with corresponding outputs reflected in the employees’ periodic accomplishment reports.

𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
