National Heroes Day (Araw ng mga Bayani) is a public holiday in the Philippines celebrated annually on the last Monday of August as a tribute to Filipino Heroes and Heroines.

In the middle of the crisis that every Filipino is facing and experiencing, let's always remember that loving our country means caring for one another, standing for what is right, and never losing hope for our nation.

Heroism is not just found in grand battles. It lives in every act of kindness, integrity, and selfless service to others. Let us continue their legacy in our own small ways.

Ngayong buwan ng Agosto, sama-sama nating ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026 na may temang: โ€œWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.

Sa modernong panahon, patuloy na lumalaganap ang Artificial Intelligence na tumutulong sa pag-gawa ng mga mahihirap na gawain tulad ng pananaliksik. Ngunit sa kabila nito dapat ay hindi nawawala ang halaga ng ating sariling gawa. Ipagdiwang natin ang Buwan ng Wika habang tinutuklas natin kung paano magkasabay na lumalakas ang wikang filipino at makabagong teknolohiya.

Binibigyang-diin ng temang ito ang mahalagang ugnayan ng wikang Filipino at artificial intelligence sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman at pagpapaunlad ng makabuluhang pananaliksik. Kasabay nito ang panawagan para sa responsable, etikal, at mapanuring paggamit ng AI habang patuloy na binibigyan ng puwang ang ating Wikang Pambansa sa makabagong teknolohiya.

Sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng mundo, huwag nating hayaang maiwan ang wikang Filipino. Sa halip, lalo natin itong gamitin, payabungin, at pagyamanin sapagkat ito ang sumasalamin sa ating kultura, kasaysayan, at pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Filipino.

Gamitin natin ang AI bilang katuwang sa pagkatuto at pananaliksik nang may pananagutan, pag-iingat, at mapanuring pag-iisip.

The students and teachers of Surgui I.S. celebrated the nutrition month last Friday, the culmination activity at High School Department. Assigned learners from grade 7 to grade 12 cooked nutritious foods such as vegetables, chicken, pork, and healthy desserts. Also, school officers prepared different games for students with the help of teacher-facilitator. Additionally, participants enjoyed the quiz bee activity, different questions with the category of easy, moderate, and difficult. It is all about components of food, health, originated, and agriculture.
