Let the Kids Be Kids: Aeta Community Outreach for the Children

"All actions concerning a child, whether by courts, lawmakers, or administrative authorities, must prioritize the child's well-being and best interests as the primary consideration."

Because the law is not just written in courtrooms -- it is lived in communities, felt in the hearts of the vulnerable, and seen in the smiling faces of children who are given the chance to simply be kids.

The Second Year Law Students of Tarlac State University – School of Law, in collaboration with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Tarlac Chapter, are proud to bring joy, learning, and hope to the children of the Aeta community. On June 19, 2026 (Friday) at 8:00 AM, at Calangitan Elementary School, Sitio Kalangitan, Capas, Tarlac, we are turning the principles of child rights and welfare into meaningful action -- through storytelling sessions, interactive games, dance activities, and the distribution of school supplies, storybooks, toys, and other learning materials.

A highlight of this outreach is a collection of original storybooks authored by the Second Year Law Students of TSU–SOL, crafted with love and purpose for the young minds of the Aeta community:

• Raquel: Ang Batang Feminist
• The Secret Notebook
• Agent Kitty and the Missing Children's Rights

These stories are more than just pages; they are seeds of empowerment, identity, and dreams planted in every child who holds them.

Together, we hope to extend educational opportunities, joy, and meaningful experiences to these children because every child's laughter and every child's rights are worth fighting for.

With this, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Atty. MP Cunanan for his assistance in coordinating with the Local Government Unit of Capas, Tarlac. Your support and cooperation greatly contributed to the success of this outreach activity
