Congratulations to Gaven C. Baltazar for winning 3rd Place in Column Writing (English) at the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2026, held in Baler, Aurora, on March 18–20, 2026. 📝

This success was made possible through the dedicated coaching of Ma’am Vhea Ivory Macalia and the unwavering support, guidance, and inspiring leadership of our School Principal, Dr. Claudette M. Macabulos, together with our Head Teacher, Ma’am Rachelle Karla B. Sotomayor, whose commitment to excellence continues to empower our learners to shine. 🌟

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our PSDS, Dr. Rene Miclat, for his invaluable guidance and steadfast support in nurturing academic excellence.

STEPPING INTO ADULTHOOD

As part of the National Women’s Month 2026 celebration, Matatalaib Bato Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of Tarlac and the City Population and Development Office (POPCOM) for conducting the insightful session on the “Adolescent Health and Development Program”.

A special shout-out goes to Hanna Elaisha S. Velasco, RC Diaz, and Mary Jane Sagun for sharing their expertise and valuable insights with our intermediate learners, helping them understand important topics on adolescent health, personal growth, and development.

This activity is one of the key highlights of our National Women’s Month celebration, promoting awareness, empowerment, and holistic development among our learners.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s time, effort, and dedication in guiding our students toward becoming healthy, informed, and empowered young individuals.

📢 National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2026

Pursuant to NDRRMC Memorandum No. 15, s. 2026 on the Conduct of the CY 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), Matatalaib Bato Elementary School successfully conducted and participated in the earthquake drill on March 12, 2026. The activity was actively participated in by the learners, teachers, non-teaching personnel, and supportive parents of the school, demonstrating the community’s strong commitment to safety and disaster preparedness.

The conduct of this drill aims to:
• Enhance awareness and preparedness of learners and school personnel during earthquake emergencies.
• Practice proper evacuation procedures and safety protocols to minimize risks and injuries.
• Strengthen the school’s disaster response capability through coordinated actions and drills.
• Promote a culture of safety and resilience within the school community.

During the activity, participants practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique and followed the proper evacuation procedures to ensure that everyone knows the appropriate actions to take during an earthquake.

The School Head, Dr. Claudette M. Macabulos, and Project Development Officer I, Gelo Abraham also shared their thoughts on the importance of safety and the conduct of regular earthquake drills, emphasizing that preparedness, awareness, and cooperation among learners, teachers, and stakeholders are essential in ensuring the safety of everyone in the school community.

The school extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to all learners, teachers, non-teaching staff, and parents for their cooperation, coordination, and active participation which contributed to the successful conduct of this important activity.

Celebrating Family Day at Matatalaib Bato Elementary School! 🎉

A day filled with fun, unity, and meaningful moments as learners, parents, and teachers come together to strengthen the bond between school and family. Through exciting activities such as Zumba Dance, Larong Lahi, and Mass Demo, the school community celebrates the value of cooperation in nurturing happy, active, and healthy learners.

Our heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Christian Aaron T. Bondoc, together with Sir Keith Justine C. Dela Cruz and Ma’am Alyssa Marie B. Yalung, for their presence and support during the celebration.

This meaningful activity was made even more special through the leadership of our School Principal Dr. Claudette M. Macabulos and Head Teacher RK Sotomayor, through the initiative of Ma’am Ellyssa Marie Salas, and through the dedication and teamwork of the Matatalaib Bato Elementary School teaching and non-teaching personnel.

In pre-colonial Philippines, the Babaylans were respected community leaders, healers, and decision-makers, recognized for their wisdom, courage, and influence.

Inspired by their legacy, we honor the women in our school community whose dedication, professionalism, and commitment continue to shape empowered learners and a progressive institution.

Matatalaib Bato Elementary School formally commenced the celebration of National Women’s Month 2026 through a meaningful Flag Ceremony and Kick-Off Program held on March 2, 2026.
Anchored on this year’s theme, “WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society – Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the activity highlights the school’s continued commitment to promoting gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusivity within the educational community.

In her welcome remarks, Dr. Claudette M. Macabulos emphasized the importance of recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in nation-building and in shaping future generations. Meanwhile, the Rationale of the Program and Schedule of Activities were presented by the school’s Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person, Ma’am RK Sotomayor, outlining the lined-up initiatives for the month-long celebration.
The program also featured messages of support and solidarity activities that strengthened the school’s advocacy for a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all learners and personnel.

SPTA President Grace Tragico conveyed her strong support for the celebration and expressed the parents’ solidarity with the school’s initiatives, reaffirming their commitment to promoting gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusivity in the entire school community.

Matatalaib Bato Elementary School remains steadfast in advancing gender equality and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity in the community.

Your unwavering commitment to service and education has provided our learners with a more inclusive, safe, and inspiring learning environment.

February 11, 2026 marked another meaningful and winsome day for Matatalaib Bato Elementary School as we once again welcomed the Triskelion Group Forever, represented by Mr. Salvador Perez Mora, Mr. Ramon Tañedo, Mr. Jay R. Magsino, and the rest of their group, for their continued outreach initiative.

The group generously donated a two-bean table for the learners under the Special Needs Education (SNED) Program. This resource will be utilized by learners in both the self-contained class and the mainstream setting who continuously receive intervention services, further enhancing the learning environment and promoting inclusive education.
