In accordance with the previous post, here are a few ways for everyone to try and help our scientists and our planet:
Adding to the given solutions, numerous articles and even the attention-gaining protest of the NASA scientists believe that big companies and factories should be accountable with their actions. Multiple of these companies and factories are responsible for polluting our planet through encouraging the usage of fossil fuels and irresponsible waste disposal. Even if every person took responsibility for caring for Mother Earth, but if the companies and factories do not take actions themselves, there would still be huge consequences for the entire human race.

Most people may be familiar with the protests of scientists. You may have heard it in the television, news, or Facebook posts such as this one. For a little bit of background, on April 7 outside the JP Morgan Chase building, multiple scientists including Peter Kalmus, who is a climate scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab. In essence, he keeps track and studies the current and even future state of the Earth. And during their protest, they pointed out the concerning status of our world. "We’ve been trying to warn you for so many decades" was stated by the scientists as tears run down their faces in response to their concern for the Earth. In addition, they also expressed their disagreement with the continual usage of fossil fuels (coal, gasoline, diesel fuel, propane). These fossil fuels harm the environment by producing greenhouse gases which eventually damage the atmosphere of our planet. In order to assist our dear scientists and help the Earth, let us listen to the experts, support pages or people who aim to improve the state of our world, and try to help in our own little ways.

TRIVIA THURSDAY🤓🧠
Did you know, on May 12 of 2021 at around 2 pm, Dagupan City experienced the hottest recorded heat index ever in the Philippines. With a temperature of 37.3°C, the Pangasinense experienced a much more violent temperature or heat index that reached 52°C. This extreme dosage of heat can cause heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and even heat strokes. The heat can also cause sunburn which can permanently damage our skins.
But the highest officially recorded temperature by Guinness World Records was in Death Valley, which is dubbed the hottest place in the world. On July 10, 1913, the recorded temperature got up to 56.7°C (134°F) where the usual air temperature was still about 46°C (115°F). The reason why Death Valley was insanely hot is because of its geological placement. Death valley is approximately 190 ft below sea level, and the lower the place goes, the higher the temperature gets.
A few precautions against extreme heat:
1. Never leave anyone in a closed, parked vehicle during hot weather, even for a short time.
2. Drink plenty of fluids but avoid drinks with alcohol, caffeine, or a lot of sugar. Start drinking fluids before going out into the heat.
3. Plan strenuous outdoor activities for early morning or evening when the temperature is lower.
4. Take frequent breaks when working outside.
5. Wear sunblock, hats, and light-colored, loose-fitting clothes.
6. Stay indoors in air conditioning as much as possible.
7. Eat more frequently, but be sure meals are well balanced and light.
