The PLC Journey, DICES Route
Earlier today, September 22, 2026, at the Marco Polo Hotel, Cebu City, the Diocese of Imus Catholic Educational System (DICES) proudly shared its journey toward institutionalizing Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) through the presentation of our Superintendent, Rev. Fr. Alain P. Manalo, during the 2026 CEAP Pre-Convention Learning Session #1.
In his presentation, “Biyaheng PLC, Rutang DICES,” Rev. Fr. Alain highlighted the evolution of PLCs in DICES—from initial collaborative meetings among school personnel to a more intentional, system-wide professional learning structure focused on student learning, evidence-based practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The presentation traced key milestones in the DICES PLC journey, including Garantisadong Pagkatuto, the Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC), Team Analysis of Common Assessment (TACA), and continuing efforts to strengthen instructional leadership, assessment, intervention, and enrichment practices.
Through this journey, DICES continues to build a culture where educators learn from one another, use evidence to guide decisions, and work collectively toward better learning outcomes for every learner.
