Ngayong araw, ating ginugunita ang katapangan, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga Pilipinong nagbuwis ng buhay upang makamit ang kalayaan na ating tinatamasa ngayon. Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala sa bawat isa na pahalagahan at pangalagaan ang ating kalayaan sa pamamagitan ng pagiging responsableng mamamayan at mabuting lingkod ng bayan.

Bilang bahagi ng komunidad ng Notre Dame of New Iloilo, Inc., sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang mayamang kasaysayan at kulturang Pilipino na patuloy na humuhubog sa ating pagkakakilanlan. Nawa’y maging inspirasyon ang diwa ng kalayaan upang maglingkod nang may integridad, malasakit, at pananampalataya para sa ikabubuti ng ating kapwa at ng ating bansa. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Gamitin natin ang natitirang araw para magpahinga, maghanda, at mag-set ng goals na nais nating maabot ngayong taon. Kita-kits sa June 8, Dameans—sama-sama nating simulan ang isang masaya, makabuluhan, at matagumpay na school year!

Today, on Mother’s Day, we honor the women whose love reflects the warmth, strength, and grace of a mother’s heart. Just as Mary, mother of Jesus faithfully cared for Jesus with humility and unwavering love, mothers continue to guide their children with patience, sacrifice, and compassion each day. Their quiet acts of service and endless support become a source of comfort and inspiration to every family.

At Notre Dame of New Iloilo, we celebrate and thank all mothers for being living examples of faith and love in our lives. Happy Mother’s Day to the amazing women who fill our homes and communities with love! 🩷

In the solemn stillness of Black Saturday, we are called to pause and reflect. It is a day wrapped in silence, where hope seems hidden but never lost. As we remember this sacred moment, we are reminded of the depth of faith and trust. Even in uncertainty, we hold on, believing that light will come again.
