On September 27, 2026, the Villaflores College ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 9th Training Day for the First Semester, providing the Basic Cadets with a series of activities and classroom discussions designed to develop their discipline, military bearing, knowledge, and personal responsibility.
At 0700H, the training day commenced with attendance and accounting, ensuring the proper accountability and organization of all Basic Cadets. After the accounting, the cadets proceeded with the practice of Manual of Arms, where they continuously developed their coordination, discipline, proper movements, and ability to follow commands. The cadets also practiced proper PASAMAHID, reinforcing the importance of uniformity, alertness, teamwork, and precision during military activities.
From 0900H to 0920H, the Basic Cadets were given their designated break period to take their snacks, attend to their personal necessities, and prepare themselves for the succeeding activities. During this period, the Cadet Officers also conducted a personal meeting with the Admin NCO, allowing them to address administrative matters, coordination, and other concerns related to the proper conduct of the training.
At 0920H, the training resumed with an informative discussion led by Pvt. Renato R. Oroc, who discussed Hygiene and Sanitation. The discussion emphasized the importance of maintaining proper personal hygiene, cleanliness, sanitation, and healthy habits. The lesson reminded the cadets that maintaining cleanliness is not only a matter of personal responsibility but also an important part of discipline and readiness.
The training continued with MSG Ferdinand P. Furtiuto (Ret.) Inf PA, who conducted a discussion on Military History and its Evolution. The discussion provided the Basic Cadets with valuable knowledge about the development and transformation of military organizations, traditions, practices, and systems throughout history. Through this lesson, the cadets were given a deeper understanding of how military institutions have evolved and how history continues to influence military service today.
The 9th Training Day served as another meaningful opportunity for the Basic Cadets to strengthen their discipline, teamwork, military bearing, personal hygiene, historical knowledge, and sense of responsibility. Every activity and lesson contributed to their continuous development not only as cadets but also as responsible students and future public servants.
The Villaflores College ROTC Unit continues to instill the core values of Honor, Duty, Discipline, Patriotism, Courage, and Selfless Service among its cadets.
