The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (CBM) proudly represented Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology at the 𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐏 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, held at 𝑫𝒆 𝑳𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆 Lipa City, Batangas from October 2–4, 2025.

Showcasing the college’s excellence and talent, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙖 𝙉𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙋𝙪𝙚𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙨, a BS Tourism Management student, earned the 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒂𝒍 🎖️ in the 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, competing against 19 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) nationwide. Her outstanding performance highlighted both her mastery of tour guiding skills and her passion for promoting tourism excellence.

Meanwhile, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝘿. 𝘿𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙖, a BS Hospitality Management student, displayed remarkable creativity and finesse in the 𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, representing the college with pride and professionalism.

The delegation was guided and supported by their dedicated coaches, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗣. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗞. 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁, and was accompanied by the esteemed Dean of the College of Business and Management, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗦. 𝗚𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹.

The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (CBM) of Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology proudly joined the global community in celebrating 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒎 𝑫𝒂𝒚 2025 with the theme “𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

As part of the commemoration, the 𝗕𝗦 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 students, together with the Dean and Faculty, conducted a 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 🌲🌲🌲 aimed at promoting 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 and 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 of tourism’s role in nurturing communities and natural resources. This initiative underscored the College’s commitment to sustainable practices that contribute to long-term ecological balance.

Following the tree planting, a seminar was held to further enrich the students’ knowledge and appreciation of sustainable tourism development. The College was honored to host 𝑴𝒓. 𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑾𝒊𝒍𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝑩. 𝑪𝒂𝒚𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂, MBA-TRM, Faculty of the College of Hotel and Tourism Management at 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒐 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 – 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒊 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚, as the invited guest speaker. His lecture emphasized the transformative role of tourism in addressing global challenges, fostering sustainability, and creating inclusive opportunities for communities.

The celebration not only highlighted the importance of sustainability in tourism but also strengthened the College’s advocacy for responsible and transformative tourism practices. Through activities such as these, CBM continues to instill in its students the values of stewardship, leadership, and social responsibility, ensuring they are well-prepared to become future champions of sustainable tourism.

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology successfully hosted a lecture webinar on August 20, 2025, titled “𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝, 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩.”

The event featured 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥 𝐀𝐳𝐢𝐳, Head of Section Tourism, 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊 𝑲𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒂 𝑳𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒓 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍, as the distinguished resource speaker. Dr. Abdul Aziz delivered an insightful lecture that underscored the role of higher education institutions in advancing sustainable tourism through academic research, innovation, and community partnerships.

The College extends its appreciation to the Tourism Faculty for their dedicated efforts in organizing the event, the 4th Year and 3rd Year Tourism Management students and 3rd Year Hospitality Management students for their active engagement, and the student volunteers for their invaluable support in ensuring the smooth facilitation of the webinar.

This initiative reaffirms CBM’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and promoting sustainable development in tourism, creating opportunities for students and faculty to gain global perspectives while strengthening their role in shaping innovative, community-driven solutions for the industry.
