Sumirap National High School held its Parents' Orientation for School Year 2026–2027 under the leadership of Dr. Ma. Sherwin C. Alduheza, Principal IV. The orientation provided parents with important updates on the Department of Education's shift to a three-term academic calendar, the revised grading system guidelines, and essential school policies. The event was immediately followed by the First Homeroom PTA Meeting, strengthening home-school partnerships and promoting a shared commitment to quality education and learner achievement.

Sumirap National High School officially welcomed School Year 2026–2027 with a vibrant and meaningful program during the Flag Raising Ceremony. The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Ma Sherwin C. Alduheza, Principal IV, who warmly welcomed learners, parents, and stakeholders as the school embarks on another year of learning and growth.

As part of the program, the teaching and non-teaching personnel were introduced, reaffirming their commitment to providing quality education and dedicated service to the school community.

United in purpose, the entire Sumirap NHS family stands firmly behind the Department of Education’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values, striving to nurture learners into responsible, productive, and future-ready citizens.

The spirit of bayanihan was on full display as 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒑 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2026(Bayanihan sa Paaralan) alongside the ARAL Culminating Activity.

Immediately after the opening program, parents, teachers, and barangay officials of Sumirap rolled up their sleeves and worked together to prepare the school for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026. From cleaning school grounds and mowing lawns to sprucing up classrooms, every effort reflected the community’s shared commitment to providing a safe, clean, and inspiring learning environment for our learners.

Adding to the excitement, teachers also received school supplies through the school’s MOOE under the leadership of Dr. Ma Sherwin C. Alduheza, ensuring that they are equipped and ready for another year of quality education.

Together, we clean. Together, we prepare. Together, we build a brighter future for every Sumirap learner.

"CLASSROOM WALLS SHALL REMAIN BARE"

Under the Brigada Eskwela guidelines on the Maintenance of Clean Schools, classroom walls should be free from unnecessary posters, decorations, tarpaulins, and commercial signages. Keeping classrooms clean, organized, and free from unused materials helps provide a safe, distraction-free, and learner-friendly environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
